I love tiny things, and while I've looked at and dreamed of assembling models, the glue, painting, sanding, and everything else always turned me off. I don't always have the time, and I certainly don't want the mess. This set is wonderful, as you don't need glue and you don't have to paint-it's all included and oh so cute. Little sticky tabs instead of glue are included, and the wooden pieces all fit together like dove tail drawers or legos. The prepainted, tiny tools are all wonderfully detailed, as are the stickers and paper products. I LOVE the Tool box and the set of drawers most of all, just so cute and fascinating in their construction. I and my ADHD got a real kick out of this, finished it in two two hour sessions before happily moving on to another. It's a good size for Sylvanian Family Critters or Nendoroids, but much too small for Barbie or 6" action figures-though the tools could probably be used in displays for them, the garage and wooden furniture just wouldn't look right. I intend to display this in my real garage. I think a child 10 and up could complete with maybe a bit of help on the tinier constructions. All in all great project, thank you!

PROS +Very detailed (even has a working light that you wire to a AAA battery) +Great for kids who want something a bit more challenging than other building sets +Hours of fun both building it & playing with it CONS -According to my son, some of the pieces are quite fragile. He accidentally snapped one of them while putting it together. SUMMARY My kid is totally into constructing mini cities and homes right now. This garage set was right in line with his current interest. The instructions are clear but it still took my son several hours to put everything all together. Overall the set is nice and has high attention to detail. My son says he gives it his thumbs up!
