A beautiful book nook kit. Fairly easy to assemble. Came with excellent instructions. The pieces all fit perfectly and nothing was chipped or warped. My photos do it no justice. It is absolutely beautiful when the inner lights are on.

    • Good quality nook book, but wish the flowers were painted more dimensionally
I have done a couple of nook books before - first time with a Rolfe product. I would say that this kit is a little harder than the beginner one I did, but less time to complete (just over 3 hours). If you have never done a nook book before, it is a mixture of model building and a jigsaw puzzle. Not really a project for small kids, but definitely fun to do with older family members! The pieces are made of thin wood (actually feels a little sturdier than the previous models I have done), are clearly labeled, and they all punched out cleanly. It is nice that the vendor included extra’s for the more delicate pieces (just in case they break when you remove them). The step-by-step assembly instructions are clear and concise with good diagrams. The glue pen is great - so much more control and less messy than tubes! Really lovely design really captures the unique building architecture and the serenity of a garden. I just wish that the flowers were painted a little more 3D, since they are the center of this story; they look pretty flat, especially compared to the buildings. Tip - I find it easier to punch out only the pieces I need for the current step - rather than punch out everything in the beginning - which prevents confusion and lost time trying to figure out what number each piece is. ... show more

Nice bonding experience. Got to put this together with my significant other. Neither of us are good at following directions, so there was definitely a few struggles. The wiring was intimidating, but overall it was a really fun project that i feel brought us closer together. And filled the gap on the bookshelf. ... show more
