For reference, I've played a bit on grand pianos in the practice rooms of my university and got used to that acustic quality sound. This piano delivers that resonance but at a smaller scale. I'm a begginer, and can't critique it from a professional players standpoint, but the weighted keys feel great and provide excellent feedback, this thing is as close to the real deal you can get, while also not spending way to much. Many things have an asymptote of value for their money (the more and more you spend, the quality goes up, but after a certain point you start paying for just the name of something and the substancial quality you get from spending more is not as high a difference as earlier price point differences.) This piano, I feel, maximizes the value you can get, for the price paid. Well done Rolland, this thing sounds great! ... show more

I love the sound of this full size keyboard. I wish the audio plug was not behind the keyboard. The foot pedal, well I wish it were a bit better quality. If ordering this, upgrade on the foot pedal, or maybe Roland will change out the pedal. But this is perfect for beginner adults, or if your serious about a child learning, as this price and quality it is not a toy! The stand and bench are not bad in quality and easy to assemble. This keyboard could easily be packed up and moved to another location if needed to perform music. ... show more

    • Sound is poorer than i expected compared to prior Roland
The keys on my old Roland finally broke, and i ordered a new one at a higher price point expecting better sound. i do have more octaves on the keyboard-- a plus-- but the e-piano setting produces tinier notes, there is no vibraphone. When i tried playing some Buffet with the e-piano effects, it sounds awful compared to my prior roland. The basic piano notes and key action is sound. i was also disappointed with the 'kit' for stand, which is quite fragile compared to my prior one. I do like the seat that comes with the kit. I major dislike is the music holder--it doesn't angle correctly and it is difficult to hold scores without them falling. The one on my prior Roland was quite good and sturdy.     • High quality for beginner or intermediate player
I bought this as my first piano. The sound quality is really great, although the speakers are a bit quiet at max volume. The keyboard action is excellent and feels very natural to play on. The stand and seat are both high quality. As a large man, the seat feels very sturdy and is adjustable enough to accommodate my height. The upgraded pedal that comes with this bundle feels great and works well. I've given this 4 stars because the stand and keyboard do not quite match up correctly. The nubs on the keyboard don't fit into the holes on the stand, so the keyboard isn't really secure. It does not slide around while playing, but there is nothing stopping it from falling off if bumped or jostled. ... show more

    • Great piano, low quality accessories
The FP-30 itself is a gorgeous instrument that I'm very pleased with, and the DP-10 pedal is also quite nice. The stand, bench, and dust cover included with this bundle are cheap, flimsy trash. I wish I had just bought the piano as a standalone, then purchased my own stand and such. Not returning it, but not very happy either. ... show more
