  • The best, (almost) perfect XLR interface/ mixer **Updated April 2023**
Color: black
**UPDATE** So I've been using the bridge cast for a few months, and I have now bumped this product up to 5 stars. Roland did release the dedicated Mac usb update which allows you to map more audio sources to your dials like you could with your PC which has been amazing! You will still be limited by macOS's ability, or inability to do proper audio routing, but using an app like Rouge Amoeba's Loopback. Another complaint I had was in regard to EQ settings on profiles. While you cannot do exactly as I described in my original post, you can set different EQs, and set this to a desired dial, and then save that to a profile. I then realized you can set any of the mute buttons to swap between profiles, effectively giving you want I originally was hoping for. This does mean you have to forego having a mute button under one of your dials, but you can always swap profiles in the app itself. The other issue I was having was in regard to the mic dial, and not quite understanding how it worked. After tinkering around, I realized that in your audio settings, there are inputs for personal, and stream. I don't do any streaming on twitch/ youtube, but understood how the concept sub mixes worked. I guess I just didn't see the that the mic input had two different sources you could choose from (other inputs/ outputs do not), so that one was on me for not understanding. I can honestly say that this product is a vast improvement over the goxlr mini I had which I still do not miss to this day. I've tested many other xlr interfaces/ mixers at this point, and the rodecaster pro 2 still is the only thing that compares to the bridge cast (at over double the price), and for me, the only real thing that it has over the bridge cast at this point is the native ability to adjust bluetooth audio...but even that can be remedied on a PC by using a 3.5mm jack into the headphone jack, and into the line in on your pc. The small form factor, and sheer amount of control you get with this thing is bar-none. I highly recommend the bridge cast if you want an elegant audio solution for either mac, or pc. *Original Post* This thing is the most 4.5 star product, and is SO CLOSE to being 5 stars. I'll gladly update my review in the coming months if a few, minor nitpicks can get addressed. As it stands though, this is a great product, and an improvement over the GOXLR mini that I was previously using. This thing has so many great features, and does a lot of the things I wanted my goxlr mini to do, but couldn't. The extra dials are much appreciated, so I have more tactile control over all of my audio sources, the device itself is sleek, and modern, and while it doesn't have as robust a routing table as the goxlr, the software is pretty straight-forward, and allows for a good bit of customization. One of my favorite features is in regard to dealing with submixes, and adjusting audio input, and output for your personal mix, and your stream's mix. You can do this on the fly using the device itself; no need to open the software, and it's very intuitive. The dials all feel really nice, and the four main dials are ratcheted, so you get nice feedback with each turn. The other 5 dials are not ratcheted, but do have start, and stop points which I personally really appreciate. This combined with white markers on the dials allows you to easily tell your minimum, and maximum levels. I also appreciate being able to set, and easily swap to different mic effects, and EQ settings on the device itself with the small buttons at the top. I VASTLY prefer this to the giant pads on the goxlr, and other interfaces. This product really is great, and I would highly recommend people purchase this as it stands. As for the reasons I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars... well, a few small annoyances stop me, and I'll list them below. -The most minor complaint is that none of the dials click in to mute. There are dedicated mute buttons, but a click in dial would have been nicer for me personally, but this isn't a big deal at all -This thing will likely be a fingerprint monster, so be ready to clean it -This device is supported on Mac and Windows, however, the Mac integration is not quite where you want it to be. While you can still do some mixing, it is not as robust as it is in windows. I bought this mixer so that I could easily swap between my work macbook, and my personal pc, and for the most part it works, but I do wish there were more routing options available. The website for the product mentions a special driver update for Mac in April, so hopefully that will alleviate some of the issues I have using this on a Mac. I also know that Mac OS isn't the best when it comes to controlling audio (seriously, Apple? STILL no native routing table), so I'm hopeful that the April update alleviates things. -You can adjust the RGB of the 4 main dials, but not of the mute buttons (those are always white). This likely won't change as I'm assuming white LEDs were used instead of RGB LEDs for the mute buttons. Not a huge deal either, but I will say that even to address the RGB of the dials, you just get a straight line that you put a marker on to pick your color. A place to enter a hexcode would be appreciated. -The Mic dial....I'm not really sure what this does. You can set it to either control the volume of yourself (monitoring your own voice), or you can switch it to control the volume of....something else? I don't actually understand what this controls. I assumed at first it was the sensitivity/ volume of the mic, separate from the gain control (similar to how the goxlr works), but adjusting this doesn't seem to actually do anything. The output of your mic to the stream is controlled separately, so I really don't know what this is meant to do. It would be great if this could be mapped to controlling mic volume, or better yet, setting this to the gain level. Maybe I'm missing something here, and it controls some EQ setting or something, but even going through the user manual, I cannot figure this out -As I mentioned, there is a way to change EQ settings on the device itself, but for me, I set my EQ once, and never touch it again. I wish you could use this to switch profiles i.e. having one profile that I use if working in adobe premiere, and so I want the volume dials to correspond to different applications/ software, and then another profile that I use if I am streaming games. You can set up profiles in the software already, so a way to be able to switch to these on the device itself would be great, since you can do basically everything else already without having to open up the software. Those are the cons I have, and as I said, they are mostly minor, and likely will not, and honestly, should not dissuade you from buying this. In my journey to upgrade from the goxlr mini I was originally looking to upgrade either to the full-size goxlr, the rodecaster pro II, and the recently released Yamaha ZG-01. I didn't like the giant pads on the goxlr and the lack of customization you could do with them, the emphasis on voice changing which I do not use, the price seemed a bit high for what you were getting, and the company hasn't seen many updates since most of the team left to work on BEACN. The Rodecaster pro II is probably the best XLR interface/ mixer money can buy right now for streaming, and honestly would be perfect for all of my specific needs, but it is quite large, very expensive, and does more than I would likely ever need, so I couldn't justify it right now. I was very close to buying the Yamaha ZG-01, but days before I bought it, I came across this device, and it offered a bit more than what the Yamaha did for my use-case. The Roland Bridge Cast seems to be fairly new, and has not received a lot of coverage as of yet (I can't find any reviews for it). It definitely meets it's purpose, and more, and I'm super glad I made this purchase. I really hope it gains more traction/ followers/ coverage as it's a fantastic device, and seems to only be beaten by the rodecaster pro II when it comes to functionality. A device which costs over 2x as much. I look forward to future updates, and hope to revisit this review soon to bump it up to 5 stars, but even as it stands, it's a great product, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, and easy way to mix, and route all of their audio, or looking to upgrade from a goxlr. ... show more

  • PERFECT Addition to my Streaming Arsenal
Color: black
My first introduction to the Roland Bridge Cast was at TwitchCon 2023 in Las Vegas. Once I saw what it could do, I knew I needed to have one. This has paired wonderfully with my AT2020 XLR microphone (however, you can specify whether you need it to crank out power or not for your mic). The ease of setup with the app on my desktop PC was so seamless. Once you've downloaded the app, there are just a few steps to get your PC on track with the various options that the Bridge Cast offers. I am able to set up my PC sounds, my game (which is a PS5), my chat (Discord) and my microphone. Being able to adjust these sounds on the fly is really helpful. Taking it a step further, you can also have two different setup - you can have your own personal sound in your headphones, or you can hear what your audience hears. This can be very helpful if you'd like to have music going for chat, but maybe you only want to hear your game in your headphones. This feature can really come in handy. There's also a lot of additional features to the Bridge Cast. For your microphone, there is a complete section on the app for fine tuning your sound, from noise suppression to gate, etc. Then there is the FUN stuff - microphone effects! There are five presets you can create to give your voice varied PITCH and FORMANT. The sky is really the limit. :D If you are a streamer that plays varied games and want to adjust the EQ for each one, there are also five presets that you can adjust for your games to perfect the sound that you want! (The pre-made presets are all FPS, but you can adjust and rename to your heart's desire!) There is also a line out for external speakers and aux if you want a line in from your phone! Once you've gotten everything set up (I know it seems like a lot, but it's WORTH IT), the system really just waits for you to create whatever cleverness you can come up with... and DELIVERS IT. If you're an aesthetics person, the Bridge Cast knobs for each sound component (there are four knobs) can each be changed to a different RGB of your choice! You can also order custom faceplates to match! Finally, there are even more options (which I haven't had a chance to test because it requires a subscription) like more pre-built mic effects, and a library full of background music in varied styles/moods for you to play (and they're royalty free)! I'm more than pleased with my Roland BridgeCast and I hope this review helped you! ... show more

  • The BEST and ONLY Mixer of its kind.
Color: black
*EDIT*: After using this mixer for many months, I’ve came to the conclusion that there’s simply nothing else like the Roland Bridge Cast. This makes all my audio routing the EASIEST thing ever. Plus, this is also the only mixer so far that I’ve seen with these features that works with consoles. Every other mixer in my opinion is obsolete. *ORIGINAL*: This is hands down one of the best mixers on the market. After doing research on other options, this does all of the most important things those can do but also works on Console and Mobile (works on PS4 / PS5, don't have an xbox to test it on). I can finally use my XLR mic and good headphones on console without any crazy workarounds. It has the ability to switch volumes separately for the Headphone out and the Stream out. The XLR Input is clean, and the Headphone output is clean and clear as well. No noticeable noise or hiss on either. It can easily drive any XLR Mic and most likely any headphones (DT 990 & 900 Pro X can get way too loud without having to move the out dial even close to the max). You can EQ your mic, as well as your “Game” channel, and save multiple profiles to easily switch between preference EQ profiles. It’s very well built and the buttons and dials feel nice and premium. ... show more

  • Amazing Soundboard but not better then GOXLR
Color: black
This board was great and people who don't own a GOXLR this Is a great 200$ difference alternative. My only complaints and the reason for returning the item was I wasn't a fan of the noise compression settings. The GOXLR sound suppressing. Gate control. Noise threshold and gain. In my opinion were better. I think the audio control and game equalizer where amazing in there own ways. Personally may check this item as a viable replacement in the future if there mic settings in the software get tuned in the future for more fine tuning for the user. ... show more
