I have a lower end TCL Roku TV, the stock remote is very plasticky and the buttons have a loud click on each movement. At night it's disturbing when you or your companion are fading to sleep and then you hear "CLICK CLICK CLICKITY CLICK". The buttons on this remote are more rubbery so they are virtually silent. Best of all, it's an "anywhere" remote meaning you don't have to point it at the TV with line of sight. This one works under the covers or from another room. I washed my old one in the washing machine by mistake so had to replace it! This one is so easy and takes 2 mins to set up definitely recommend.

The TV controls are a welcome addition. This unit replaced a unit that used AA cells, this unit uses AAA cells. After about a month, it began operating intermittently and required re-pairing twice. I tested the cells, they were at 1.5V, but I replaced them anyway, which seemed to solve the problem. The unit it replaced would easily run 4 months on a pair of AA cells. Hopefully the batteries supplied with this one were just low-quality and it will run longer on quality cells. ... show more

All the button react right away. Good performance, compatibility, easy to sync. Haven't had any battery issues. Good value for money compared to other remotes I've bought. I don't think it has a find remote setting where it makes noise like the other ones do though.

I recently reviewed another off-brand Roku remote with lackluster performance. This is definitely the one to get if you’re searching for a replacement. My original remote was no match for a French Bulldog puppy. I can only assume remotes are bacon flavored, based on the vigorous chewing mine received. In light of my factory remote’s untimely demise, the first replacement left us unimpressed, while this one saves the day. The remote is powerful, no longer required me to point at the tv’s sensor, unlike the cheap knock off ordered prior. Gone are the days of a light breeze interrupting the tv receiving input for volume changes. I no longer have to beg or shout in frustration to adjust the volume! Speaking of yelling at my tv, the built in voice control on the remote is fantastic! I hate trying to toggle through the onscreen keyboard to search, now I simply search by speech. The pairing process was mostly seamless— out of the box I followed the simple instructions provided for it to pair quickly. The only hiccup came the next time I turned on the tv… it seemed to act as if it never paired. Once in the settings, I deleted the old remote and repaired. It’s worked perfectly ever since. Overall the quality is great and feels so much better than the knock-off model I previously ordered. Don’t waste your money on aftermarket, it’s worth the $20 to get the real Roku branded remote. ... show more

Quality remote. Works well. Four stars as we didn't have an option to pick what combo of preprogrammed buttons and had no idea if any of the set 4 would be something we use. We got the Netflix/paramount+/Apple TV/HBO Max group and we don't use any of these channels. Would have been nice to at least have YouTube. ... show more
