This Roku Voice Remote Pro is a total game changer! I was tired of constantly buying batteries for my old remote, so the built-in rechargeable battery alone makes this 100% worth it. I’ve been using it for weeks on a single charge, and it still hasn’t died on me. The voice control is super responsive, just press the mic button and say what you want to watch. It makes finding shows or launching apps so much faster. I also love the remote finder feature. I lose remotes more than I’d like to admit, and now I just say “Hey Roku, where’s my remote?” and it starts beeping. Lifesaver! We have several Roku sticks in our house and recently bought the Roku Ultra that came with this remote. I liked it enough that I bought this remote separate so that we could use it with one of the existing Roku sticks we had in the guest bedroom. It didn't seem feasible to spend money on another Ultra when we only have a 1080p TV in that room, and it is nice that the Roku stick is hidden behind the TV. Luckily this is compatible with most of the older Roku sticks, but you cannot buy a Roku stick bundled with this remote. If that option was available I would have spent a couple of extra dollars and upgraded the 5 year old Roku stick to something newer. With that being said, it was easy to set up, it has the same functionality but with light up capability and voice control without having to push the voice button, and it is rechargeable. I do wish they would have an option that bundles this remote with a Roku stick, though.

The Voice Remote Pro is a nice upgrade over the original that came with my 4K Roku stick. It connected right away and programmed to my TV for volume control with no hastle. It feels a lot sturdier than the original too. Hands-free voice control is convenient when we need it, and the backlight is useful for a button-presser like me! My favorite feature is NO MORE BATTERIES! The original remote chewed through AAA’s like nobodies business, but with the USB charging on the Pro this thing will pay for itself. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the Find My Remote feature doesn’t work, giving me an error message that the remote isn’t compatible when I try it. I haven’t called support yet, but a new product shouldn’t need an immediate call to tech support when you’ve followed the installation procedures and done basic troubleshooting. Overall, I highly recommend this remote over the original and plan to replace my other Roku remotes with this model in the near future.

Updated:ok so I’m updating this as we’ve had the remote a while and a few things I wanted to add on the review to help those that are on the fence. 1. We love the voice activation feature. Simply say hey Roku and then whatever your after ex. Being hey Roku find my remote(this one has been a godsend multiple times with four kids and the remote constantly being misplaced due to arguing, or hey Roku tune volume up to 28 or whatever volume, hey Roku play, hey Roku pause, you get the gist I hope 2. Its light up feature is super helpful at night while my husband is sleeping all I do is touch the remote and the buttons light up making it easy to see the controls in pitch dark. 3. Let’s talk the rechargeable feature for a moment. I notice three things with the remote when it needs to be recharged or is charging. (1. Being that the light next to the power button blinks red when battery is really low but the remote does still function unless I’ve just flat killed the batteries. 2. Recharge time I recommend for an hour tops to make sure battery life is perfect however when our remote is plugged in charging we do see it on the main Home Screen of the tv from time to time when changing apps. 3. This is think is the most retarded favorite function I have developed is it works with any type c charger (I think I say this because type c chargers are the biggest thing that walk away or disappear and reappear in different places)(I blame the kids)) Super easy to set up, the buttons light up with movement, perfect fit for you hand, small yet sleek, solid black remote, feels tough,

This remote, unlike many, works with the Roku stick. It's a solid, well designed device. My last remote barely worked due to the poor port which prevented adequate charging. The USB-C port is a HUGE improvement!
