Description

ACRONYM knew exactly what ROG device they wanted to work with for their next collaboration with us: the ROG Flow Z13. The Flow Z13 debuted in 2022 as the world’s most powerful gaming tablet, and is an incredibly versatile device on its own, but ACRONYM’s design team took it to a whole new level. By incorporating functional elements from their existing bag designs, they built the ROG Flow Z13-ACRNM RMT02, a Flow Z13 for new forms of versatility and portability.

  • All in All, its really nice for what I use it for...
Style: Core i7-12700H
This tablet is pretty fast and smooth for what I use it for, which is mostly as a web browser, Rumble, YouTube, Deluge/Torrent, movie player and bible. With that said, if I have a 10+ tabs open, have a VLC player open in the back ground, then open My Sword app, it will load slowly. Basically, every open tab is like a different app, so when you have several tabs open, it just bogs down the system. I notice, when running 1 app with everything else closed it should be pretty smooth and fast. I assume that it will handle playing a game like, howbeit, I personally have not played any games on it. I use this tablet while OTR (over the road), place in a mount in my truck. While driving, I'll play movies, music, pod casts or something and listen to them. I have ran a small audio cable to the radio, put in a 100w cigarette charger for power, and a usb for tethering my phone to tablet for internet. I bought an after market pen that magnetically holds onto the tablet. Pros: 1. You have a PC at your finger tips, which I personally prefer over android tablets or apple tablet. 2. For my uses, it is more than good enough. 3. After 6 months of daily use, it seems to be as fast as it was when I first got it and keeps cool even in the truck with some direct sun light hitting it (I do keep the truck cool, but direct sun light will warm stuff up). 4. Battery is decent, when I turn the brightness down (60-70%) it will last a good 3 movies (so 5 or 6 hours?) - to extend the battery life, I periodically, unplug the charger and run it down til it warns about low battery, charge it up and repeat the process of charge/drain a day or three later. Cons: 1. Price, its nice and all, but the price IMO it is too much. Truth is, we've had this tech out for so long the price should be going down, not always going up UP and UP!!!! - there is simply nothing "NEW" being added, its a cpu, ram, screen, battery, OS, touch screen and wifi/modem as it as always been for 20+ years now. 2. No RAM upgrade slots, with 16 GB RAM, it is limited, especially running on windows - RAM is one of those quick fix/upgrades that boost the PC/Tablet and this is not an option here. 3. Asus didn't provide a s-pen with this Tablet, if I am not mistaken Microsoft does with their surface thing. So YES, i do recommend it, but only if you get it on sale, at the RETAIL price it is not worth it IMO. ... show more

  • Great Little Laptop! (Just Don't Download Windows 11!)
Style: Ryzen 9 5900HS
This is a wonderful little laptop, it plays games smoothly, and it's surprisingly fast, reliable, and powerful for its small and slim size. The final selling point for me was the touch screen, which works wonderfully and is very receptive to the stylus. As others have mentioned, the fan runs like crazy and the bottom of the laptop does get hot to the touch, they even warn about this in the manual, however, despite this, I have had no performance issues or problems with the internals overheating. The only downside to this laptop is Windows 11. It comes with Windows 10 installed, but as soon as you set it up, it pushes you to install Windows 11, which I did, and which was a mistake. It essentially made my new laptop unusable for a month. If you have to install Windows 11, I would strongly recommend setting up a local account, rather than a Microsoft account, at least for the foreseeable future, until the issues and glitches are worked out of the Windows 11. However with Windows 10 installed, as this laptop comes in-box with, this is a fantastic buy, and I would definitely recommend it for gaming, digital art, and even your everyday documents and emails and such. ... show more

  • After on year, laptop keyboard defective and battery won't hold a charge for more than an hour.
Style: Core i5-12500H
I bought this tablet 16 months ago and liked it for about a year. At 13 months, the keyboard when fully snapped onto the screen does not work. I have to allow only the bottom to connect and then it will work. I understand ASUS does not sell a replacement keyboard. I have to buy a new tablet if I want it to work. Also, the battery will not hold a charge for more than an hour. When I first bought the tablet, it would hold a charge for ~six hours. now, it is less than one hour. I would not buy this product again. ... show more

  • Great Surface Pro alternative
Style: Core i7-12700H
I primarily game using cloud GeForce Now over the cloud, so I don't need an incredibly beefy machine, but I do want something with a dedicated video card for light gaming (ex. Lego Star Wars) when I can't install the games locally, for using Office apps, and basic image editing with Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. I've had a Surface Pro, recently a Lenovo Yoga, and finally wanted something to game on that I could also travel with (and was affordable). After a bunch of research I'd landed on an Alienware m15 r7 and waited for it to arrive, knowing it'd be big and not have a touchscreen but was upgradeable. While waiting for delivery I came across this ROG Flow z13 and realized it might fit what I really want. Now that it's here and I tried both laptops I'm sticking with the ROG. Great - Can upgrade the SSD drive - Only slightly heavier than my Yoga and runs much quieter and cooler - Fine for running basic games on ultra settings - Fingerprint reader on power button is great - Touchscreen is really responsive - Armoury Crate app is great, providing a lot of options for how the machine runs based on specific apps, RGB effects, and like wallpapers - Runs on USB-C power - Sound quality is excellent Not so Great - Can't upgrade the Ram (I wish it had a 32Gb option) - By default it uses the integrated video to save battery, but I had to mess with Armoury Crate settings to get a game to run using the 3050 card (using Turbo mode), which I wish were out of the box - Screen resolution is fine, but I wish it were slightly higher - Like Surfaces, the keyboard feel is going to be a dust/hair magnet - Still makes more noise than a Surface, but FAR less than any gaming laptop (the Alienware was insanely loud running just app updates) - I mostly stay plugged in, but I'm sure the battery will die in no time when running unplugged - I wish each key had an individual RGB setting, but it's not really critical, and I like that I can have the colors set based on the CPU temp or usage ... show more
