  • Best Accessory For My Shotgun Microphone
I bought this to hold my Synco D2 microphone in a flexible arm boom, mounted to my desk. The clip that came with the mic did not provide any isolation from vibrations on my desk. This shockmount was easy to put together and does an excellent job of keeping unwanted noises out, and I can even move the boom around without any noise transference. This is an excellent product and I would highly recommend it to anyone needing this kind of isolation. ... show more

  • It does what it’s supposed to
Little pricy, fells relatively sturdy. Works how I need it to work.

  • Pointless To Buy
I bought this, and I'll probably never use it because there was a similar item included with the Rode NG4+ microphone. I have no complaints about the actual item. I'm sure the item would work better than the included clip if you were using a boom arm.

  • Excellent Shock Mount For Beyerdynamics M201 TG
I was using a generic shock mount that wasn't as good as it should. This one is quite spectacular, and does an amazing job of reducing 'shock' that travels to my microphone. Couple this with "THE HOOK TH-MD-150-70 MICROPHONE MECHANICAL DECOUPLER" and you have an extremely capable duo that pretty much eliminates all vibration. Great product, but I think it's a bit pricey. Could be cheaper. ... show more

  • No complaints, love it
Try a few others first, some cheaper, some more expensive. Should have just bought this one first. 😉

  • Good shock mount - but not as versatile as I had hoped.
Like many others, I too wondered if this SM4-R could be disassembled and converted to an SM3-R with a simple male cold shoe threaded in. Unfortunately however this does not appear possible (see images) - unless you have a male 3/8 to cold shoe adapter you cn thread into the the female 3/8 mic stand mount that comes with this SM4-R; or somehow rig up a weird m5 screw to cold shoe adapter that you can screw into one of the five threaded brass inserts. Despite this (deliberate) design flaw, it's still a fantastic shock mount. ... show more

  • Could be great for smaller rigs, but my RODE NTG-2 was too heavy
This review is specifically for the SM4-R suspension boom mic shock mount: I like this product for its slim and small design but I will be returning it because it causes excessive movement noise with my rig. I don't know if my mic is too heavy for this mount (RODE NTG-2 boom mic /w dead cat) and that is why the noise is happening but it happens even with the subtlest rotation from left to right making boom movement between actors without sound interference almost impossible. I was trying to find the cheapest, quality option, but for me, this is not that mount. I gave three stars because for a very light mic rig this could potentially be a very solid and nimble shock mount, I just can't account for it because I don't have a smaller mic to run tests with. ... show more

  • Great Isolation for Mics
For a used Product these look and handle like new. All the parts seem to function and lock into place like the brand new one I bought shortly. Packaging wasn't bad. Lacks the plastic holders of original package but everything essential is otherwise there. For a $20 savings thats a really good deal.
