  • Quiet, precise, reliable, attractive
I use this for my work from home setup. I'm on video calls more than half of my workweek. This tool does exactly what I need it to do, every day, day in and day out. When I put the microphone somewhere, it stays there till I move it again. It's easy and quiet to move. The fabric covers hide the springs and bars, and the cord channel works great. I previously was using the microphone arm that came with my Yeti microphone, and it wasn't nearly as good. ... show more

  • One of the best mic booms out there for begginers or experienced alike.
This is my second one. The first one was the base model of the same brand for under $100. This one was $130, it includes hiding cuffs to hide all the hinges and mechanics stamped beautifully with RODE brand in white letters. You can hide your wires in the cuffs or not. looks good either way! The hinge assembly is very solid and stays in place where ever you choose to place it. Comes with mic boom extension to lenghen the direction of your microphone a little bit. My only gripe, which could easily be fixed with additonal hardwear, would be i wish i could have a way to extend it upwards towards the ceiling like a telescoping slide. This would enable me to place the boom behind my monitor better and angle it over. Rode makes very good quality items for begginers and the most experienced. ... show more

  • Solid build, looks great
WAY better than cheaper alternatives. Can be clamped or "permanently" installed (it can be removed even if permanently installed, but you'll have a mounting hole to fill). Mine is actually installed on a nearby shelf and swings out of the way when not in use.

  • Love it
My first and only boom arm. I love it. And I got it with the extension and it's just great. It moves smoothly. My mic stays the same angle while I move it. The sleeve deadens the sound of me touching it. I researched alot and decided to get this one. It is complete quality. You get what you pay for. I'd buy it again. But I don't know if I'll need to in my lifetime. The only negative is that the cord doesn't stay on the little groove where the elbow bends. Sometimes it slips off the side. takes 1 second to fix but a negative is a negative. 5 stars still since it's so premium and it shows. ... show more

  • Nice arm that stays quiet during adjustments
I bought this arm because it was long enough to use for sitting or fully extend it to use while standing. I haven't noticed any sagging and it hasn't had an awful screech like my old $25 arm with conventional springs. I would have liked to use my pop filter, but there isn't a good way to mount it. I just position the mic off to the side so I don't need it. So it hasn't hindered the use at all. I'd still recommend the arm to someone looking to upgrade from a basic arm. ... show more

  • Very heavy duty stand
This works well with my camera for filming videos or with a dynamic studio microphone.

  • Durable & Reliable
Bite the bullet and spend a little more on a nicer mic stand. Trust me, it's worth it. The cheap mic stands will not stand the test of time. This one will.
