I’ve been eyeing these rugs for a while. I spotted a deal and went for it. Item shipped fast and came in compact packaging. There was no odor upon opening the vacuum sealed plastic. I initially hesitated ordering as we have a brand new puppy in the house . I figured the washing instructions were simple enough to follow in case of an accident . I set the rug in the living room and it turned out to be a favorite lounging area for both of my dogs! It is so soft and comfortable to walk on, and the pups love to roll all over it ☺️ I got even compliments from our houseguests on it! Definitely recommend!

The rug arrived in a square box. I mention that because rugs I've ordered in the past came in a roll. That being said the creases disappeared within hours because of the thickness of the padding. There is about a half inch of cushion underneath. It is a very soft rug. The shag is a little thin, but not noticeable unless you look at it up close. There a little grippy things on the bottom, but I didn't check if the rug would slide or not. I will say that against the other gray items in my home this rug is closer to a blue gray than a charcoal gray depending on the angles and lighting. All in all it is a pretty good rug. I took pictures up close to show the thickness of the shag and the little grips underneath.
