The first boots I bought from Rocky were the Lynx snake boots. And they are still holding up 3 years later and very comfortable. So I knew when I purchased these I'd be getting a quality pair of boots and I wasn't disappointed. Comfortable footwear and they look great. Excellent grip. Perfect fit to size. And even with the 1000g thinsulate it doesn't overheat your feet but will provide plenty of warmth in colder temperatures. Excellent boots. I stand behind Rocky. Only brand of boots I'll purchase and price isn't even a factor because these bad boys hold up as evidenced by my Rocky Lynx and, even as tough as they've been, the pair I'm reviewing now feels even more sturdy. This is the third pair of Rocky's I have owned. I use it both for hunting, livestock chores, construction and my snow removal business. These boots get a work out with mud, manure, water, ice, and salt and stand up very well. I am in the same pair of boots day in day out all day at times, at the end of the day I wash them off and put them on a drier. Never once have I had a wet foot from them unless they have been torn. I have neuropathy in both feet and they supply great support with a very comfortable insole. I do end up ordering the next size up due to the heavy wool socks I wear just so the boot is not to tight on my feet. With a good quality wool sock my feet stay warm in some of the nastiest part of winter. ... show more

I used these boots winter camping. It was about 24°F to 11°F for 4 days. My feet were never cold. I was pretty much standing on ice/snow the whole time. I had to cross the creek many of times and went through 6-8" of water and didn't get wet. They are pretty comfortable right out the box. They have a softer rubber sole and get decent traction on ice (compared to other harder sole boots that I have.). but I would advise using something like Yak tracks if walking on ice. I would recommend going a half size bigger than what you wear. I wear size 11 1/2 in Columbia, Merrell, and Keen. With these boots I purchased size 12 and it fits perfectly. ... show more

Just received the boots and upon donning them I realized I had made the right choice. First time online boot buying and the size is just right, most comfortable pair in my past 35years. Warmth on snow covered concrete and comfort after 5hrs standing really surprised and again reconfirmed my choice. They felt a little heavy at first but within a few seconds and a few steps, no heavier than my regular wear, surprise. So in all these boots meet the waterproof challenge and quick and easy to get into and going.
