The first boots I bought from Rocky were the Lynx snake boots. And they are still holding up 3 years later and very comfortable. So I knew when I purchased these I'd be getting a quality pair of boots and I wasn't disappointed. Comfortable footwear and they look great. Excellent grip. Perfect fit to size. And even with the 1000g thinsulate it doesn't overheat your feet but will provide plenty of warmth in colder temperatures. Excellent boots. I stand behind Rocky. Only brand of boots I'll purchase and price isn't even a factor because these bad boys hold up as evidenced by my Rocky Lynx and, even as tough as they've been, the pair I'm reviewing now feels even more sturdy. Just received the boots and upon donning them I realized I had made the right choice. First time online boot buying and the size is just right, most comfortable pair in my past 35years. Warmth on snow covered concrete and comfort after 5hrs standing really surprised and again reconfirmed my choice. They felt a little heavy at first but within a few seconds and a few steps, no heavier than my regular wear, surprise. So in all these boots meet the waterproof challenge and quick and easy to get into and going. I used these boots winter camping. It was about 24°F to 11°F for 4 days. My feet were never cold. I was pretty much standing on ice/snow the whole time. I had to cross the creek many of times and went through 6-8" of water and didn't get wet. They are pretty comfortable right out the box. They have a softer rubber sole and get decent traction on ice (compared to other harder sole boots that I have.). but I would advise using something like Yak tracks if walking on ice. I would recommend going a half size bigger than what you wear. I wear size 11 1/2 in Columbia, Merrell, and Keen. With these boots I purchased size 12 and it fits perfectly. ... show more

These Rocky boots have 1000 grams of thinsulate , this is the 2nd pair of these exact boots I’ve owned and I can promise when it gets cold ,these boots will keep your feet warm, I wear them for hunting and only when the temp gets in the 30’s or below or your feet will get hot, the coldest I’ve worn the 1st pair was 8* with a wind chill of -15* and I sat in the woods for 4 hours and my feet were warm as at home really, the 1st pair lasted over 20 years and are still wearable only the sole started to come loose at the toe, I glued it back and they’re still good as new but I wanted a new pair anyway so I bought these exact same boots , best pair of hunting boots I’ve ever bought 100% ... show more

The boots came way before the due date which I was very happy about. I like a higher boot which this is. At first I thought they were a little snug, but upon wearing them for a day I felt they fit like a glove and was very comfortable. We have had very cold weather here where I live but could not complain on how warm my feet kept. The cushioning was very good in the insole which made walking very easy. I shoveled snow and was in water and my feet did not get wet. I thought the price was excellent compared to prices in the store and the free shipping was a plus. I hunt and fish a lot and am looking forward to wearing these in all types of weather. I was surprised how my feet did not sweat in these boots. I had a pair before and they lasted for years. Almost 10 to be exaCT and I am looking forward to having these for the same amount if not longer. I would highly recommend these boots for any true outdoors man ( or woman). They are truly worth the price. This is my first review I have ever written on a product but felt I had to let people know how great they are.Thank you Amazon & thank you Rocky company.
