The RPB27 is a portable Bluetooth speaker that is the perfect size and power. This speaker is big enough that our engineers were able to get the speaker to produce 20 watts of power with huge bass! It is small enough to bring it with you camping, hiking, or anywhere else. The speaker is extremely rugged! It is shockproof and IPX6 water resistant. This means you can throw it around and bring it in the shower and the speaker will never break! There may be some similar looking Bluetooth speakers on the market but this is the only speaker at this price point that is rugged, water resistant, and has huge power with huge bass! Below is what makes ours better: IPX6 Water Resistant The RPB27 is water resistant, or splash proof. You can take it with you into the shower, or by the pool side. In reality this speaker can be thrown into water without getting damaged, but we are rating it as splashproof. I tested it in the shower and put it under the showerhead with no problems. We actually first used this at a rented vacation condo as it was provided for guest use. We took it to the beach with us everyday and also used it in the evenings at the condo. The combination of the quality of the unit, sound performance, and ease of use prompted us to buy one as soon as we returned home from our trip. When I searched on the line for this model, I was amazed at the price- I expected to pay at least double what it was listed for, largely due to the quality of the build. I really enjoy this product. It has held up well through its use in the shower, by the pool, and in daily life outside and in my room. It has wonderful bass and amazing sound quality The only complaint that I have is that it uses a recorded voice to announce that it's on, that it's ready to pair, and when it's paired. It's very loud, and though you can quickly press the volume down button to cut the voice short, it's still pretty annoying. ... show more

Excellent! Not bad at all. So far so good. Decent audio, and bass response. Very loud for a pocket unit , and is on par with the Trakk Bullet...Though the Rockville appears to have better bass response. I will update regarding longevity as time goes on....UPDATE: 10/9/19, The original one I had I gave to a friend because he begged me for it. So, i relented...Until recent, I decided to grab another unit. Still a great little speaker. Its loud, pocket sized, has a good range of BASS (re: It can do a certain range of mid/high range bass, and a little sub-bass, but has a problem with bass-boasted audio, and deep resonating sub-bass...Only the Douni A7, JBL FLIP 4, TaoTronics SK-11, and Tronsmart T6 produce constant deep low end...) Decent product, great customer service, quality control could be better. I bought it because of the wattage per price and size. It started going into aux mode as soon as I turned it on after about 2 weeks after owning it. So I called Rockville. They asked what the problem was and then said they would send a new one out. It took a little longer because they were waiting on a shipment. I could see that because they distribute from Cali but are made in China, and probably have a high demand. As for the issue, when they told me they would send another I thought to take a look at what was causing it to go into aux mode. I found a ribbon cable that was unseated and the leads coming off the LED were barely touching as well as some corrosion on the button portion of the board. So after reseating both ends of the ribbon cable spacing the leads out a little and used an eraser to clean the button contacts put it back together and no problem works great. As for the new one the lanyard was 3 times longer than it should have been, the volume works opposite of the first one. Which means you have to tap to turn up or down instead of hold which is actually better than the first one. And lastly the new one rattles a little at high volume. Overall good for the money if you get a good one. ... show more

After a lengthy research I settled on this one. Volume and battery life was important to me. This unit doesnt do heavy rap bass well, but is great for rock & roll or for a movie. Battery is great and the product feels like it has a heavy aluminum frame. The speakers face front, but some deep notes do come through the back. I LOVE THIS SPEAKER TO MUCH. It's so handy the size is just perfect for just about anything ur going to do. Its so durable and lightweight. The battery life is super sick, as in it last forever it seems like. Best to have the speaker on half way volume and turn ur other device up.
