This amp is everything that I hoped it would be. It has a very clear sound. And it JAMS very powerful amp. I just anded it to my system so time will tell on durability. Awesome for the price

Was running a Crown xli1500 to push two NVX vcw 10s (car subs) in my house but the crown wasn't powerful enough. Bought the RPA16, hooked it up, and set the gain at 33db. Wow, the rpa16 woke up the subs! They sound amazing. The Crown xli1500 is much more expensive and has less power. The rpa16 exceeds the crown in power at a much lower price. The rpa16's fan is a bit loud when the bass kicks in but with the music up I can't really hear it. Also, the rpa16 creates lots of heat. All in all, I'm enjoying the amp and highly recommend. Oh, one more thing. Bought this on a monday morning and it was delivered the very next day. Two days before it was scheduled to arrive. Thank you Rockville/Audio Savings! ... show more

Outstanding Performance for the Price
I bought the Rockville RPA16 for under $400 and it's well worth it.My receiver is the Yamaha RX-V685,this amp works perfectly with it using RCA to XLR cables,no buzzing noise,nothing needed in between,just a simple RCA to XLR connection.The speakers i have are the Rockville Dual 12 (RSG12.2),the sound is clear and insanely loud,the RPA16 puts out plenty of power. The other amp i tried with my Yamaha receiver was the Crown XLS2502,it has good reviews overall and may be right for you but it simply did not work for me,not enough power for my dual 12s.It also put out a buzzing noise when i connected using my RCA to XLR cables,that can be cleared up with a "CleanBox" but the power would still be lacking compared to the Rockville RPA16.I ended up connecting the Crown amp using RCA to RCA but the signal seemed very weak even when changing the sensitivity and upping the volume of my receiver. This Rockville RPA16 is exactly what i wanted and works perfectly with my system.I hope this review saves people some time and money. ... show more

Powerful amp
I like the power produced by this amp. Its powering 6 tower speakers with 15 inch 2000 watt 4 ohm speakers and tweeters and mids. I also have 6 full speakers on top of each tower as satellites for a total of 12 full range speakers. Powers all to the point of nearly breaking out the storm windows. Great power and only at half power. Cons are, its extremely heavy which isn't a problem if its in a cabinet or on a separate stand or enclosure. Another con is that it doesn't have any other functions such as Bluetooth. This is not really a problem for me as I was only looking for a powerful amp, but for the price a few extras would have been nice. Not necessary, but nice. The input and outlets are good but rca inputs would be a great addition. The 1/4inch/xlr inputs are very good but make sure you get male xlr cables for the input. Female for the other outfit for powered sub or linking amps. Db level and temperature readout is great and precise. Overall great product but could use a couple of extras. Bad customer service
Buyer beware, Rockville Audio customer service is none existant!! I couldn't tell you how this amp sounds because I couldn't get it to work, no sound, my bad review is soley based on the Rockville Audio customer service, AWFUL, just awful, it takes several days for them to call you back, if they call you back! I had to keep calling them and calling them, when I finally did talk to someone their phone kept cutting out and couldn't resolve the issue, again they said they would call me back but never did, luckily I bought through Amazon and refund was no problem. I bought a Crown xli 3500 power amp, no problems, works great, it rocks!! ... show more

Powerful amp with clean sound!
This is an updated review. It has plenty of power for the two RSG-15.24 that I power with it, I hardly ever go above 50% on my gain. I am pretty sure it would power four RGS-15.28 with no sweat. I wish that I would have bought the 8 ohm versions now so that I had room to upgrade later. It puts out clean sound, (Previously I said it had a hum when idle with no music running through them, it appears to be an issue with the wiring in my house) I have done enough gigs to know I don't have any issues with clean sound at this point. I have it running through a Furman M-8X2 suppressor which I think helps keep the sound clean. I also don't have any issues with overheating, ran a 6 hour gig with no problems and I am in a very hot and humid environment. I can't speak highly enough about this amp at this cost point. Only drawback would be the weight of the amp, but that is a small issue compared to what this powerhouse is capable of. ... show more

Solid and Powerful
Excellent equipment! Quiet and efficient unit, powers 6 subs and a tower with ease. Customer support was incredible. By far one of my favorite purchases for home audio.
