  • GOOD EQUIPMENT GOOD EQUIPMENT
Rockville makes great products with great sound. But my opinion on their power amps, is to buy twice as much power as you need if you are running a mixing board for a band. Mixing boards have little preamp to drive the amps to rated power. DJ equipment has more preamp than a mixing board. So if for DJ use, buy whatever power you think you need. It should be fine. ... show more

  • Arrived in great condition.
So far so good. The packaging was great The delivery was on time.I have 2 18” inch speakers with a total RMS of 1000. this amp has plenty of power.. The app has a good solid sleek design. You could hear the fans, but that is expected because this amp is a beast.

  • Pleasantly surprised.
Update 10/14/21: I have had these amps for a while now and they are still going strong. Bought 2 more in addition to the original 2. I would refer anyone, who asks, to ise them. Original review: Overall, I am very pleased with the Rockville RPA14. This amp pushes a pair of Yamaha SW218v's with ease. I don't think the rated peak wattage is accurate on a per channel basis at 4 ohm as described though, I believe it to be lower. However, I anticipated it to be more powerful than my subs could handle and would have had to adjust gain down on my driverack anyhow and sized the amp to speaker in that fashion. Now that I got that info out of the way, let me hit some solid points. I ran this amp full bore this evening. Both channels max gain. Dropped gain down completely for the subs in my driverack. Unity on mixer channel for my mp3 player, LR on Unity. Raised gain on subs in driverack until it barely started clipping a little since in a while, then backed it down 3 dB. Let me just say, it's the first time I heard the true voice of my subs. They were singing their low tones like they should be, and doing it wonderfully. I was pleasantly surprised how well this amp sounds. Very pleased with how my subs are hitting with this amp. Now in a few weeks, I will be adding 2 more sub cabinets to my front of house, I already have a second RPA14 that is supposed to deliver tomorrow. That one is for the new pair of SW218v's I am ordering next week. I truly can not wait to hear this setup. Reliability is the only area that I will need to keep an eye on as that comes with time of use. If it holds up well, then it's a win win all the way around. ... show more

  • It’s got power
Can’t comment on sound quality but it serves its purpose for me. Built a Frankenstein system for my garage. Old Yamaha receiver two pair outdoor speakers. I’m using this amp for subs I have sitting around. One Jl W-7 rated for 1000 watts running 8 ohms and Kicker solarbaric 500 watts 4ohms. It rattles the siding on my house. The separate gain controls work great on not overpowering smaller sub and blending two together. The fan is pretty quiet. When I turn up and run for along time I don’t feel any heat off the amp and the tempature reads 110-115. Outside temp 90. I don’t really get along with a lot of my neighbors so I’ve been running it about 6 hours a day for two weeks strait with no problems. Hope it holds up ... show more

  • Nice amp! Heavy seems to be built
Bought it for nieghbor hood parties, step up the game for this year. pushing 2-15 rockville speakers and 2-12 rockville speakers down to 4ohm. Turned it up 1/4 of the way and the nieghbor came over whining🤣. Told him to invest in some ear protection or get a good realtor.
