I've been a mobile DJ for 10+ years, performing for private events, bars, clubs, and weddings. The old folding table and black drop cloth, while practical and functional, just doesn't give you much by way of presentation. Enter the Rockville RockBooth. Setup is easy, unfold and use as a facade or mount the table top and secure with the provided 4 thumb screws for a solid finish. Takes me literally 3 minutes to setup. The provided bag is of great quality as well, sturdy with a heavy duty zipper and bottom rubber foot pads to protect it from scuffing when storing upright. The assembly weighs around 30lbs and easily throws over a shoulder. As for stage presence, it's great with the provided black and white velcro scrims. The table top's overall footprint is slightly smaller than my old 4ft X 2ft table, however its very tall which is great for me since I'm 6'2". It's large enough for my Traktor flight case and I'm able to slide the laptop deck over the back edge of the booth if you stack with the case cover for added height. It is a tall configuration so it may not be comfortable for shorter DJs. Otherwise, a controller directly on the booth table would work with a separate laptop stand. Regardless, I still have room on the sides of my flight case for mics, a Kontrol F1, and some drinks. The booth looks great with up lighting and also shines through the table top since it's a perforated metal design with lots of holes. Gives the area a nice glow. I purchased the larger Rockville Booth (XL, I think it was) on Amazon a couple of years ago to have a nice stand for events or parties. I have been DJ'ing for 13 years and though I typically use a 6-ft table for those (with a tablecloth they look a little more elegant for weddings), I wanted this for quick use. I also host Music Bingo monthly. The XL was getting almost too heavy for me, as I've had multiple shoulder surgeries, so I sold it to a fellow DJ and purchased this lighter weight one. It is exactly what I need. It's not quite 10# lighter, and it's a little smaller in size, though it still stores all my items well - mixer, tablets, etc. The best part of the Rockville Stand is the black and white scrims. I like that they only cover below the table, not the entire frame. The scrims fit well and I like to alternate the colors - black on the sides and white in the front. I think it looks great and I can use my lights underneath that show through the white well. Since there are only 2 parts to the frame itself, it's also very easy and quick to put together. I highly recommend this DJ stand. There are cheaper ones out there - and I actually did buy one last year - this one is much more sturdy and again, the scrims fitting around the frame under the table makes it a nicer stand. ... show more

Purchased to make it easier to set up and this is the answer but it is heavier than I expected but not that big of an issue but expected it to be lighter based on some reviews. I am an over 50 natural born(lol) woman and it will not be an issue for me. The bag is GREAT quality(not thin at all) with a strong zipper, and padding at the bottom. Based on reviews I thought it was not going to be as large BUT wrong! It is perfect..see pics for DJ controller size it is being used for! I said it was only going to be a hobby but 5 years later, here I am preparing for more gigs. 😂 ... show more
