So far so good. I just opened the box and connected and I am really impressed with the sound quality and how loud it can go especially for just a sound bar and woofer. Everything connected easily basically plug both into power and connect like any Bluetooth product. Put batteries in the remote control and it’s pretty standard from there. I read the other reviews and I will admit I have only used this for a day but I have yet to experience any of the issues others have. Maybe in time but I really hope not because I love the sound clarity, ease of use and how little room it takes up. If I do find any issues I will post back or edit this review because I’m tired of all the junk. I have not dealt with customer service so I don’t know how that aspect works but I think that’s a good thing because the product works. I don’t know about everyone but majority of people will love this product, it definitely checked all the boxes for what I needed. ... show more

Let me start this review by saying I am NOT an audiophile, but I am in tune with audio equipment and I have been around some high end stuff. This kit is not that kind of equipment. BUT, it is the best value sound-for-dollar you can find on Amazon by a long shot! I am actually blown away at how good this thing sounds for the money. I honestly don't think I could justify a few hundred dollars more for comparable setups from Sony or Samsung. Actually, I bought a refurbished Yamaha sound bar off of Amazon before this thinking that I couldn't go wrong with the Yamaha. It was OK, but left me hungry for something better. I stumbled upon this setup and I'm actually really really pleased, especially for the money! Pros: Clear audio Strong bass for the size of the sub Easy Bluetooth operation HDMI-ARC built in (I have not tested this yet but is a big reason why I bought this set) Loud and non-distorting sound bar Cons: Annoying status light is on all the time Remote is simple...too simple Very few sound adjustments possible Biggest issue that prevents me from giving it 5 stars? My first one was great...except the entire left side of the sound bar was DOA. No sound at all! The second arrived and worked great out of the box - sounds rich, full, and not just loud. Sure, it's no JL Audio or Bose or Sony system, but in the sub-$150 range, there is absolutely not a better deal out there! So, overall, I'd say I definitely recommend it! But, you better be sure to open the box and test it as soon as you receive it in case there is a quality issue. Looking through the reviews, it would seem I am not the only one with this experience. In all fairness, this is a pretty new model from Rockville and the manufacturing quality of the products themselves appears to be pretty legit for the price paid; the non-functioning speakers are more likely teething issues in early assemblies than it is an indicator of the equipment's longevity. ... show more

    • This is one of the best purchases that I have made in a long time! ( If not ever ).
First let me say this; I do not normally write reviews because of the busyness of my day at work etc. but I had to stop to do this for as many people that may be or are even now contemplating buying this unit. I did much research comparing products on line and even going to stores like "Best Buy, P.C. Richards" as well as on line at "Target, Walmart, Ebay, and of course Amazon", which I have been a prime member and customer for quite some time. Going to actual stores did not help me because I was unable to hear any of the options I chose in the price range that I was looking for ( $200 or less ) because only the Bose's and JBL'S and Sonos etc was connected which is how I really made my final decision. Rockville's live demonstration of the sound quality is really the sound that you get with this system. The only problem that I had was pairing the subwoofer and the soundbar which I believe was partly ( if not mostly ) my fault for not reading the instructions entirely but once I got past that it was smooth sailing. I really cannot believe the rich and robust bass along with the high's and distinct sounds of every instrument that is being played including vocals. I have only used the bluetooth option which is paired to my "fire stick" which plays all of my movies and music etc. and man all I can say is that I am so glad that I chose this system. I gave this system 5 stars for Sound quality, Value for money, and Sheerness because in every category it exceeds far beyond it's price of $139. I truly believe that this system can compete with many of the high end brands on the market today. You can't miss something that you never had, and for me I don't feel as though I missed out on buying another system spending more money when I have this one that suffices and even exceeds what I thought it to be! Way to go Rockville! I definitely would purchase this again and am purchasing another as a present for a friend! Oh, and by the way, Can I become a "paid spokesman and representative for the rockbar"? Just kidding. I have already started marketing and promise to upload a video of me rocking to the beat with my rockbar!     • Quality not consistent
I bought two of these. The first one was in June 2021 and that one was perfect. Subwoofer connects every time, sound is crisp and clear and it remembers the volume setting. I was so impressed that I bought a second one in December 2021. Not only was it $20 higher but it is much lower quality. The subwoofer only connects 30% of the time and the volume always resets to 50% regardless of the volume level it was at when turned off. So I bought a third one thinking I had a lemon, but it was exactly the same. Unfortunately, you have to go through a extremely long arduous process to get a return accepted, so I only returned the third one. I'm happy with the first one and I will just put up with having to scramble to turn the volume down every time I turn it on, and usually no bass. I recommend passing on this product unless they remember what they did right back in June 2021. ... show more

    • Great sound sketchy sub
Bought this sound bar maybe 2 years ago since I bought it the sound is fantastic no dispute crisp clear no crackling when it's cranked up. It is a 2.1 but with 5.1 range I feel, certain movies will trigger the surround sound effect to where I can hear the sound on the side of me if that makes sense. My only issue is that sub continously disconnects either in ideal mode which it what it's supposed to do it just Won't turn back on, or it will disconnect during use and everything sounds awful. So when it doesn't connect the only way to get ot to reconnect is to unplug it wait amd lug it back in very annoying. I thought it was the distance at first it was about 10 feet away. It's now roughly 3 feet away and still faults out. All in all it is worth the money like I said when it's all on its thumpin and sounds amazing just annoying when you have to unplug the sub amd replug so many times ... show more
