Would love this a lot more if it didn’t get hot as a stove. To be honest I am in TX and it’s summer time, so it’s 100 degrees outside. I know that puts an amp to the absolute limit, but that was the reason I bought this for my two Kicker 10s. The last amp was much lower rated and got hot quickly. This one bangs my subs much harder but gets extremely hot as well. So at least my system is louder now, but I still can’t drive 30 mins without it going into protection mode. I have kitted out my car with Rockville audio and it is an average of 90 degrees outside right now, which isn't a hundred, but it's still HOT. Epecially for running electronics. Despite this, my Krypton has had 0 issues and I run it at almost max every day for at least 2 hours. Granted it does get hot, but I haven't noticed a huge difference in performance from hot to cold, although I will admit the sub does get a bit louder in colder conditions. My busted ass Kenwood stereo fried in this heat before that thing even got remotely warm. Bare in mind I'm running a bridged 2400w 12 inch Rockville k6 sub with two left and right 6.5 inch 200W Rockville woofers on full frequency range at almost max! It's like a live show on wheels! I don't even know how this thing does it but it's been doing it for over a month now with no issues. If I had any advice for installation I'd say make sure it's suspended off of any surfaces as the airflow definitely helps it keep cool. To do this, I just attached it to some wood blocks that act as feet and set it under my passenger seat. I use a giant ass floor mat to cover my wires and it's like it's not even there.
