First of all, I ended up returning this sub because it was a little too small and under powered for my needs (mobile DJ). Having said that, this is one dynamite little sub. In a studio or a small-ish venue (25' x 50' or less) it has enough power and sound output to provide most of the low end. I say most because hey, it's a 10" driver, so you can't expect chest-thumping bass. But it will give you strong and fairly clean response down to around 40Hz or so. Construction is very solid. Controls and inputs above average. Speaking of inputs, I tried (unsuccessfully) to find documentation to identify what type of amplification it has. After some experimentation however, I concluded that it utilizes two mono amps, not a single stereo amp. This allows a user to feed either a stereo signal with the appropriate cable or a mono bass output with a Y-adapter cable (which I prefer) to each of the two inputs, thus maximizing the available power applied to the driver. Rockville has produced a fine powered subwoofer for smaller rooms. I gave it four stars because it doesn't produce useful output down to the specified frequency. But if smaller spaces are your intended use, you won't be disappointed. Update 7-10-17: No change in the sub itself, but make sure this is the speaker you want, because if you return it for any reason they'll charge you a 10% restocking fee, which in my case was $15. I requested they wave the fee since I returned it in perfect condition in the original undamaged carton AND paid the return shipping. But I got a form response saying I returned it so I had to pay. There's no mention of this until you make the request, and that notice says they'll charge you only if they can't sell it as new. Rather deceiving, so beware. ... show more

This is the second APM10 that I have purchased. I bought the initial one last year and I have been pleased with it. I do small DJ gigs and I wanted another unit to place in an adjacent room for more coverage. The unit that I recently ordered through Amazon was defective and would not power on. I wanted to return for an exchange, Amazon was quick to respond for a refund, but I wanted an exchange. The vendor was a bit slow to respond to emails, so I ended up having to call for an RMA #. I returned the defective unit promptly and I received a functioning replacement (it took 4 business days to ship the replacement). I will note that both units that I received appear to be used, it was obvious that they had been reboxed. Power cord, owners manual loose in box and protective wrap was retaped. The second unit has a damaged corner (see pic), it does not appear to have happened in transit as the double boxes are not damaged. I was not able to daisy chain units as I had hoped, using the sub jack(see pic), apparently the unit does not support this (per Audiosavings support). Audiosavings was not really helpful with this matter, they suggested running line out from one sub to the other. They said the sub jack was meant for a footswitch ( huh ??) Line out did not work as the low frequencies are cut off by the first sub crossover. I ended up splitting the input signal to feed to both units. I am pleased overall with performance of the sub, however the support and turnaround time for the replacement were lacking. ... show more

I have the Kali 5 IN monitors, which sound amazing, but wanted a little more bottom for massive sub drop accuracy. This sub covered that issue perfectly. There’s enough power to feel the extreme rumbles and low frequencies in a studio situation. I use Omnisphere for tracking lows and bass tracks. This sub can really let you feel the bottom. For the price, you can’t beat the improvement in an accurate tracking/monitoring situation. I have only had it for about 1 month. If it goes bad I’ll write another review. But so far, the build quality is extremely high; especially for the price point! ... show more

I've had SUBWOOFERS before - 7 total - AND THIS ROCKVILLE APM10B SUB IS THE BEST I'VE HAD !!! It goes very Low without the "OVER RUMBLE" of other GOOD LOW BASS SUBWOOFERS !!! The Sound is very Clean and Clear with GREAT LOWS AND PUNCH !!! It's so Clear, You can even hear Single Notes of Bass & I've not heard this kind of Reproduction of Different Bass Sound in a SUBWOOFER Before. Its a STUDIO SUBWOOFER and I hadn't Heard this kind of Sound before. The other SUB's I had Put Rumble and Loudness before True Reproduction. This SUB matches My Near-Field "YUMI" Monitor Speakers Perfectly !!! AND LIKE I SAID BEFORE - YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR BASS NOTES & NOT JUST LOUD NOISE !!! But, don't get me wrong theirs plenty of "LOUD" SOUND - JUST PURE AND REAL !!! I Just sent back 3 other SUBS before finding this GREAT SUBWOOFER and a this Price Point You'll not find a BETTER SUBWOFFER !!! I've had $499 SUBS but this SUBWOOFER IS BETTER !!! The Quality of Everything about this SUB is FIRST RATE !!! BUY IT !!! YOU'LL BE AMAZED !!! I JUST LOVE THIS SUB - IT HAS FINISHED OFF MY SYSTEM TO A PERFECT ENDING !!! ... show more

    • Stopped working after 10 uses

First off I'm an Audio Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. I bought this sub back in September (less than a year ago). I've used it at most 10 times in that time frame. It turns on but does nothing now. Seems like its probably fried and I've barely ever used it. It was also sitting on a pretty beefy UPS (Battery Backup). So here I am well within the 1 year warranty granted... I've tried calling Rockville through their support number found on their website and was able to speak to one person initially on the first try and then nothing but voicemails after that (tried about 8 times). I'm convinced that they are either avoiding me or they're drowning in so many support calls that they just cant get to me. In any case, if you're thinking about buying a Rockville product, DON'T. Spend the extra money on a better brand. I really wanted to like this company but they seem shady and i feel like they don't want to take responsibility and make good with their customers. Buyers BEWARE. I'll be posting a review video on all social media platforms and submitting a case with the BBB if i don't hear back from support by the end of today. ... show more
