It's Rocksett, if you know what it is, you know how it's the best. Thresdlocker is amateur hour compared to Rocksett when it comes to muzzle devices. I build rifles frequently and this is still prob enough for my families next three generations, lol.

Understand the difference.
Loctite is a methacrylate-based acrylate polymer, i.e. an elastic-plastic, which offers thread locking solutions ranging from medium to high strength at moderate temperatures. For example, 272 (Red) provides a shear strength of 2,900 psi and a tensile strength of 200 psi while withstanding temperatures ranging from -65 °F to 450 °F. Rocksett, on the other hand, is a ceramic cement (not a contact cement) which provides a shear strength of 450 psi and a tensile strength of 250 psi while withstanding temperatures ranging from -350 °F to 2,015 °F. Meaning its tensile strength, which on fastener threads is the main component to locking them in place, performs similar to Loctite 272. However, Rockett must be applied correctly to achieve this degree of bonding performance. Surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and tempered to 175 °F for approximately 15 minutes via a heat gun (or hair drier) prior to application. The one critical review of this product likely failed to follow such direction.
