I don't travel with this- just making sure I preface with that. I bought this because I wanted a laptop stand for my desk with a very high rise to get my screen at eye level. I have experience in AV, so was familiar with this style of stand- I chose this one over the similar Pyle model because my experience with pyle is hit-or-miss. It's fantastic! very sturdy, good build quality, and size and configurations are awesome. Great packaging with closed cell foam, NOT STYROFOAM make it really easy to incorporate this into your tech kit or any other flight case. thick gauge steel has me convinced this is definitely a roadworthy piece of kit. My only marks for it are: - On assembly, one of the width extensions had a really bad thread. I was able to work through it, but it was a bit of a pain verging on considering a return. It had either got shot with paint or was not deburred. - You get one set of little non-slip foam stickers. one. So either use it on the bottom "feet" or put them where the laptop goes if yours doesn't have rubber feet where the supports lie. but only one or the other. I ended up using some spare adhesive-backed foam for speaker grill surrounds and it works great, just keep it in mind if you laptop's bottom is smooth. ... show more

I just recieved my laptop stand today. I must say, it is a good deal for the price. I will be using it along with me Denon MC7000. It even comes with the table clamps and instructions! I have a 17" Dell laptop and seems to hold it perfectly. The legs are flat and can be slid under my controller. Total time to put together, about 10 mins,if that and all you need is a phillips screwdriver. It is not flimsy at all. One thing I will suggest, when you stick the padding on, place it so comes up the support, so it will protect your laptop and you won't get any scratches on the front of it.I would highly recommend this product and considering buying another one. ... show more

Needed a DJ laptop controller/laptop stand. Other ones were discontinued so I decided to modify this one. It work pretty good for $24.

    • I couldn't be happier with this Laptop Stand
When I opened the package, and these many parts fell out, I thought, "Oh, boy! What have I bought?" When I was 12, I had a head injury which paralyzed my right side and messed up my vision. Physical therapy pretty much took care of the paralysis, but nothing could fix the vision. So I figured assembling this stand would be hopeless. But I was wrong! With a fair amount of patience, I followed the (very clear) instructions, and now have a better, sturdier laptop stand than I could have hoped for. I'm using this as a laptop stand to elevate my camera (overscreen center location). Sturdy and seemingly heavy duty. The one change I made assembling it was to spread the flat 'feet' toward the outside (rather than inside as shown on the pics I've seen). That widens the stance and I assume adds to stability regardless of usage. I like that the 'feet' are flat and allow you to slide stuff under it. This thing is perfect for how I’m using it. I’ve been searching for something like this for a long time and I’ve looked at $200+ options. I almost pulled the trigger on a fancy laptop stand but this one is way better and sturdier. Plus, it’s long enough for my devices and it could work for other types gear. I slightly modified it using a bracket and bolts to give it that tilt since I mainly use it sitting down. The machine and push fit perfect on it. Great stand! Ordered 2 and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality. Both were missing screws (packaging was a little nicked so probably lost in transit) but a quick email to the seller and I received the screws overnight! Very sturdy and well made. I love that they have both adjustable height and width! Only drawback is that laptop can fall off sideways if you knock it accidentally. Cannot fall forward due to the high railing in the front. I purchased 3 and have not been disappointed.
