This is great with or without a helmet. Nice and tight. Although for me with a smaller head the top could've been a little more snug. Over all great for warmth and keeping the wind of your mouth and nose. Highly recommend.

I have a slightly above-average head and it fits nice and snug the way it should and covers everything it needs to without issue. I've had other ones that still let wind creep in because the hole for your face wasn't tight enough and this one didn't have that issue, plus the material is thick enough that it kept wind from bleeding through at all even when going 40+ mph with ambient temps in the high 30s. It's pretty thick, so I'm not sure it'd be great for wearing in warm and dusty conditions but this is an S-tier winter balaclava.

I used it in 40 degree weather to mow the lawn. I had started with just at hat on but the zooming around the yard on the lawnmower was causing chilly air to blow onto my face, my eyes started watering profusely due to cold, my nose started running and I couldn’t see where I was driving. I stopped mowing, yanked this sucker over my head and was able to spend 2 hours mowing the yard in chilly weather. It does cause glasses to fog up a bit, but whatever. I do like that it’s long enough that it covers both the front and back of the neck and keeps them warm as well. It wasn’t difficult to breathe in, and I didn’t get hot or stuffy in it. It was extremely comfortable and I definitely recommend. I’m a small woman, and it’s slightly too big on bottom and not as big as I’d like on top. I’d like it to cover more of the top, going lower down on my forehead, but when I tried to mess with it to do that the mouth flap would come up over my eyes. 🤷🏻♀️ Not perfect, but 100% usable and comfortable. I think people with normal sized heads/faces won’t have any issues. It kept me warm and that’s all I really care about.

I wear this every day on my walks, doesn't matter what the temperature is outside. Keeps me warm. Super easy to use, I like having the mouth cover attached on the outside, it is easier to manipulate with gloves on. Very happy with this purchase. It's slightly heaver than the stretch nylon ones, and not as heavy as straight fleece. It's like a stretch nylon-fleece.
