  • Worked perfectly, no regrets!
Style: R10RT Pattern Name: Rock-N-Roller
I have been eyeing different versions of the these carts for quite some time (like a few years) and not quite pulling the trigger for various reasons. I was able to get by with other solutions that kinda worked, but were sometimes a bit precarious for all the cargo I was trying to load up (usually photo/video gear). I took another look at this when I got a music job that would require me hauling a few bins of small handheld instruments as well as my keyboard between 4 different classrooms - with only 5 minutes of transition time. I had previously purchased a foldable wagon (which was the best purchase I had ever made for hauling stuff), but knew it would remotely work for this particular job. I decided on the R10RT because I needed something pretty big and wanted a version that would not have small wheels and only work on perfect floors. This cart was a PERFECT solution for my job, allowed me to smoothly roll everything around and (with a modification) serve as a keyboard stand as well. I added a platform to the top section (and intend to add another), making use of the built-in holes in the handles, and was able to turn it into a rolling music machine. I used it at full length (52") and had to learn how to maneuver it around a couple tight corners, but this thing was a life-saver! There is no way I could have done the job without it. Like NO way. I read pretty much all the reviews (which is why it takes me forever to purchase anything) and was well aware of any potential issues - and willing to accept the "risks". This unit is VERY easy to set up and operate, I don't feel there are any quality issues at all, I didn't experience issues with the paint (and think I'll survive if some does scrape off). I immediately knew that I had made the right move when I saw how much stuff I could load up on it and how easily it rolled around. If you need to haul a bunch of stuff around in one trip, get this unit. I spent so much time using inferior solutions (hand trucks loaded up with everything bungee tied together, rolling bags combined with backpacks of stuff, etc.) and realized that there was no reason for me to have to struggle with carrying all my stuff when there was a great solution already out there. You seriously will not have regrets, and you will wonder (like me) why on earth you didn't get something like this before. ... show more

  • So versatile, solid construction, A+ in my book!
Style: R10RT Pattern Name: Rock-N-Roller
What a God send this has been! My husband is a professional musician and has lots of equipment to haul all the time. He had a small hand truck but over the years, it had gotten beat up and it was time for a new one. The other issue was also the multiple trips he had to take - from house to load the car, from car to take inside the venues, etc. He researched and found this one, so we decided to get it. Solid construction, easy to put together, very sturdy, can hold alot of weight - holds everything he needs to take and all in one trip!! Love that it can extend if you need more room and folding it up is easy too. SOOO wish we found this year's ago but we're so happy we have it now!! So worth the money we spent. ... show more

  • What I was looking for. Came in as expected. Delivery was fast too.
Style: R10RT Pattern Name: Rock-N-Roller
Very sturdy. It was easy to put together. I got the R10 so is not too big or too small for me to use it as a mobile DJ. Not a light item but the load weight capacity makes up for it. When folded the sides wabble. I added a velcrow strap to one of the bars and fixed that issue. Locks work fine.

  • Terrible design for video production
Style: R10RT Pattern Name: Rock-N-Roller
Just an awful design if you have any loose items such as c stands, light stands, softboxes, or basically anything except hard cases. I used one a few years ago because my other cart broke and we needed one for a shoot, and the camera operator offered to bring a Rock n Roller cart. We loaded up all of the equipment, and not even two minutes after we started rolling it on the sidewalk, nearly all of the equipment toppled over onto the grass and dirt. When we were leaving the shoot, the exact same thing happened again, and I decided NOT to replace my other cart with a Rock n Roller cart. I purchased a different cart that worked well for a while, but wasn't designed for holding heavy equipment, and after working really well for over a year, the handle broke. I spoke with someone who recommended that I buy a Rock n Roller cart, but use ratchet straps to secure the items. I made the mistake of listening to him, and I bought this one. It is very sturdy, but that is the only positive thing about it. The first time we used it, one of the tripods fell through the bottom and we had to work very hard to get it out from under the cart without damaging it. The next couple times we used it, it worked fine. Then, I packed up a lot of equipment (hard cases, camera cases, c stands, light stand, and sand bags), secured it with two ratchet straps, and then started rolling it on the sidewalk. Without any warning, half of the equipment (including both c stands) promptly fell directly onto the sidewalk, and one of the c stands swung into my car door and scratched it. I was furious. The other carts I've owned never did this once, but after only 5-6 uses of this cart, this happens and it damaged my car. We have several shoots going on now, and I don't have time to send it back and get a different one, so I used it again hoping that by putting less equipment on it I would be ok. However, once we got back from our most recent shoot, I needed to use it to bring the equipment into our building. Within 30 seconds, one of the light stands falls down below the cart so that I (once again) have to do whatever I can to remove it without damaging it. I then walk the cart into the building, and (also, once again) half of the equipment promptly falls onto the floor. These carts are probably fine if you just have hard cases, However, they are HORRIBLE if you have stands, softcases, or anything else that may tip over or fall through to the bottom. I do not recommend this cart, at all. UPDATE: We had another issue occur where we purchase the bag that Rock n Roller sells to cover the cart and allow us to put items in the bag. After about 2 months of use, the bag put so much tension on the cart that it bent one of the metal tabs that keeps the sides of it in place. After this happened, they kept falling forward whenever we would try to move the cart. I called Rock n Roller and spoke with two people who offered to help. It took some convincing on my part, but eventually they agreed to send me a new cart. They actually sent me a more expensive model (R16) which is more durable and has a wider base. This new R16 is MUCH better for what we need to do. ... show more
