Rock Covers 40 Years is stunningly well done visual and literary compilation that ranks right up there with my All-Time favorite comparative work, All The Songs ~ The Story Behind Every Beatles Release. I was a bit surprised by the multilingual edition and felt it took up a lot more of the book than I'd have preferred, but that was probably my oversight; I should have noticed it when ordering. When Cheech and Chong said "We'll never fit this on the album cover!" they may have been discussing this book. It's got a great selection, but ought to be larger so we can enjoy the cover art more fully.
