- The new Roche-*ster B 1 barrel carburetor, designed and supervised by American mechanics, is made of aluminum alloy, with a solid structure and a qualified engine test.Carburetor installation requires experienced mechanics to operate. If you are a beginner, please search for installation and debugging videos on Google.For the first installation, it is recommended to gently tap the fuel inlet of the carburetor to allow the needle valve to move, which can avoid leakage, or disassemble the carburetor and adjust the needle valve. This is because the needle valve may be stuck due to long-term transportation and storage in the warehouse.
- The carburetor fits an early 50's Chev-*rolet, G-M-C 235 ci inline 6 cylinder engine.The throttle hole diameter is 40mm, the distance between bolt holes is 71.5mm, and the diameter for installing the air filter is 58mm.This carburetor can also be installed on the 1932-1952 Chev-*rolet 216ci 6-cylinder engine
- For initial installation, please use carburetor cleaning agent to spray clean the fuel inlet of this carburetor to help lubricate it. This is because the carburetor has been stored in the warehouse for a long time and the needle valve is dry.gently tap the fuel inlet position to allow the needle valve to move appropriately, which can prevent leakage during initial installation. - Description of carburetor malfunction:I installed the new carburetor, and lubed fuel inlet as specified. The vehicle runs well except upon acceleration. I suspect the fuel plunger is malfunctioning. I checked for vacuum leaks, and it has no problem,or the intake manifold. Runs perfect at idle.Handling method:Turns out the accelerator plunger wasn't working, it was stuck. It runs much better.
Description
The product may cause the float to get stuck during transportation and handling. If there is a leak, please open the carburetor and check the float and needle valve to see if they are stuck or clean. We will always provide service. My 235 in my 54 Chevy truck had a hard time staying at idle, and when it would idle it be at 1000rpm no lower. Also was leaking from the throttle shaft. Rebuilt it numerous times and had gotten worse over time. Installed the new carb, did a few minor adjustments and now I idle smoothly at 500rpm..

Was a good fit but the vacuum connection threads were wrong.
Having to modify a product is not really easy.

Fuel inlet and vacuum line incorrect
Carb looks to be of good quality however fuel inlet and vacuum line do not fit. I saw another review where the inlet and vacuum connection had to be rethreaded but I do not know what size is needed to rethread does anyone know

Would purchase again
Easy installation, no adjustments needed 👌 Gives a nice extra shine under the hood 1954 - 235 in my 1950 Styleline Deluxe. Very surprised that it worked as well as it did. I'll be sure to keep a spare in my toolbox. After 2 + months it's still working perfect, even with the wrong size intake manifold . I'm sure after I get my new manifold it'll run even better. I'd you have any doubts because it's a china product, don't let that stop you from purchasing.

Floats work when they want
Have went through this carb 4 times bought parts to fix it still pours gas out of it after driving stalls coming to stop and floods car out have more in carb than what I bought it for just ordering parts to fix i tore carb apart again a d adjusted it and still was pouring gas out ended up catching my car on fire

Vaccum threads
Everything looks right, others said vaccum line threads were weird, thats because they are a british thread? Go figure?? But when you go to bolt on the carb body is in the way and hits the studs. Really do not want to modify carb …. I guess you return??

Perfect fit
Carburetor is light. Mounted the carburetor and it fit perfectly,as original. Connect all lines and throttle linkage I didn't have to modify anything. No leaks and I didn't have to adjust the idler, carburetor was right on point. Definitely recommend 👍
