Description

The 40-Channel CB Radio by RoadKing(R) is made from high-grade materials to meet the strictest standards of high quality. Designed to ensure superior reliability it provides long lasting, trouble-free service. With Full 4 Watts AM RF power output (Maximum FCC Allowable) it has a Front Panel 4-pin mic connector and dynamic mic with 9' cord and RF gain control and PA capability. Hi-cut removes high frequencies to improve audio quality with SWR calibration of antenna system for maximum performance. Antenna warning indicator and receive/transmit indicator with automatic noise limiter reduces vehicle interference. SWR/RF illuminated meter and large digital display and switchable ANL and noise blanker.

I’ve had quite a few different CBs over the years and let me say, RoadKing has knocked it out the ballpark. Superb Quality, the dials are tuned just right to actually be able to calibrate it. The volume control is wide enough to be able to set it and not hear static but hear when someone speaks. The reception is outstanding, I only have it connected to one Paccar TA0009 fiberglass rod on the mirror and reaches a great distance. It is mounted in my Peterbilt 386 no issues installing everything I needed came inside the box and perfect size to not have to drill holes anywhere. Lot of the built in features you'd find on a more costly radio. A real bargain. Picks up great, also gets out well.

As an occasional truck driver this unit has proven its value the 2 times I’ve used it on the road. Was able to avoid a traffic issue by moving lanes based on a trucker report. Thanked the trucker and was on my way! Useful for killing time on long runs. Seems to get out pretty far and was able to talk about 10 miles with a simple magnet antenna which was surprising. I am sure the road king is a very good brand from my past experience, this was my first time ordering in stead of going in store. The fuse was already blown, a small scratch on panel no big deal. But I needed this cab out a new fuse and the ch HAS NO POWER AT ALL
