  • Good Keyboard
Color: Black
Good keyboard at decent price range, no delay wireless and works perfectly wirelessly. If the keys are suitable for you, go for it.

  • Very quality feel for the price
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. Good feel and good sound for a "cheap" mechanical keyboard. Feels nice and heavy and the RGB for each key is nice and you don't usually get at a lower price point. If it lasts without any issues it's definitely a good value.

  • First non-mainstream mechanical keyboard. So far so good.
Color: White
This keyboard has everything I needed and after modifying it, it is even better than I was hoping for. Being my first "custom" keyboard though you might take my opinion with a grain of salt as I've been exposed to only mainstream offerings thus far. I recommend it if you think your use case is similar to mine. More details below. The wireless has been great and worked without issue AFTER I figured out I didn't have the dongle plugged in all the way. The lights won't even turn on on the keyboard without some sort of communication between it and the receiver. That is an important note. I use this device for gaming as well so I didn't want to go with a bluetooth offering since that can provide a lot of hassle I wasn't interested in, however this also doesn't claim to be a super low latency and I don't game competitively so it works well enough for me. This was worth noting for me as quite important; the keyboard has a charging indicator underneath the spacebar which lights RED when charging, however, there is no other indication of battery life. Nothing on the keyboard nor in the software. Not knowing the battery level can be kind of detrimental, especially since when I opened up the keyboard for the modifications the battery was miniscule inside. As it stands, I charge mine every night and keep the backlight at the 2nd to lowest settings most of the time and haven't had issues. Additionally, powering it off between uses. RK Gaming is the software you can download for this keyboard and it includes rudimentary settings. Firstly, this only works over a wired connection to your PC and not wireless. You can only set a few custom keystrokes with the Function (FN) key and nothing else. You can set a "Game Mode" setting which can disable a few keys. The lighting options are limited. You have some cool effects available but you can only change a "basic" color on many of them. There are up to 9, I believe, custom lighting modes but no animations can be set to these and the color palette can only be chosen between the set and not custom. For me, the biggest qualm I have with this keyboard is the thin and cheap power switch on the bottom of the keyboard. Coming from my Logitech G613 which has a great power button on the side this is quite a step down. This is not only less convenient to operate being on the bottom but also less comfortable. The charging port is a Type-C. I wouldn't buy a keyboard with a Micro-USB charging port nowadays so I'm glad to see this. Overall, the lighting is great, the switches work well and have zero problems, the standard cherry switches and stems make upgrades easy, the bottom row size is also standard and the keyboard configuration, while rudimentary, is functional. Definitely recommended. ... show more

  • Works out of the box, solid build quality and definitely mechanical! (5 months later, bad battery)
Color: Black
With my first keyboard being one of the ancient IBM mechanical keyboards that were handed down to me as a kid, this definitely has a similar feel and sound as I type this. I order this with the brown switches. If you're expecting this to be used for portability, it is technically small enough to lug around. However any mechanical keyboard you buy is going to be heavy! This keyboard is no exception and it probably isn't something you want to take to use in public places like Starbucks. That sound of CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK as you type will most definitely annoy the people sitting around you! So far I've used this keyboard for 4 hours on the charge that it had out of the box and my first impressions of using this keyboard are just filled with childhood nostalgia! The keyboard is very responsive. Even after switching from a drastically different keyboard, I'm still pounding out between 60 - 70 words per minute casually without seeing any slow down. The layout feels a bit more compact from the prior keyboard I was rocking for the past 3 months, this makes key travel the only learning curve that I've been fighting for the past few hours, but it's a standard layout without much deviation. So switching to this keyboard, it should become comfortable to begin using within 30 minute or so. I really like that it has the arrow keys and system keys for insert, delete, home, page up/down, print screen, scroll lock, and so on. This makes the key still useful for working in DevOps doing System Administration tasks in Linux and programming. It's a fair compromise for keeping it portable while maintaining as much functionality as possible. The lights... they have a reasonable amount of mode selections. I believe there are many people that will appreciate this, however I don't care for back lighting. To me it doesn't really serve a purpose, but if the RGB lights matter to you, you'll probably like the built-in modes available. Considering that, I don't know how moddable the RGB lights are. Action keys - those keys you have to hold the FN key to use. I primarily use the volume keys and having them available on this keyboard is great. Now... I feel these volume keys are in the wrong order, but having them at all is better than not. There is also a key to open up "My Computer" and the "Calulator" app which is extremely useful to me. They also crammed the context menu key into the board, which is something I use regularly. -------------------------------------- To sum everything up (TLDR): My initial first experiences with this keyboard are extremely positive. They managed to make a reasonably "portable" mechanical keyboard that retains tons of functionality I need for daily tasks. I will be following up at a later date to update this with further thoughts on battery life and any issues I come across. -------------------------------------- Update (1 week later) - Battery Life: I've found it very hard to pinpoint what the battery life is for this keyboard as "new". After using it as my primary driver for the last week, it's taken a couple of days for me to really discharge it to death. Pretty much amounts of time I don't want to track. When the battery was dead, I was super happy to find out that this keyboard supports input over the USB-C cable that came with it! This means that if the battery ever gets to an unchargeable state (which will happen some day), you can still use this keyboard while wired. -------------------------------------- Update (5 months later) - Knocking this down to 3 stars. As of now I've had this keyboard for over 5 months and I've stopped using this as a daily driver after running into a two pronged problem. As of about 2 months ago, the battery failed to hold a charge for longer than an hour of continuous use. Prior it would hold a charge for significantly longer. There's no reason for a LiON battery's ability to hold a charge to dwindle like I experienced. However that would have been fine had I not ran into a 2nd problem. About a month ago I've found that the keyboard would not work upon a reboot of my PC. I was using it hardwired with the USB cable that came with the keyboard. This shouldn't be a thing. After some troubleshooting, I've determined that it was only having this problem when the keyboard's battery was completely dead upon PC boot. With the main selling point of this keyboard being that it is wireless, having the core component of it (the battery) going significantly bad in less than a year is a big problem. ... show more

  • Battery is dead after 18 months
Color: Black
I'm still really fond of this keyboard. I like the switches and think they're a nice blend of tactile/auditory feel without being too loud. (Your office mates may disagree about that last part.) I even tricked it out with some HyperX pudding caps, and it really makes the LEDs pop. I only really use a few of the RGB patterns, but overall I'm pretty happy with the selection of onboard colors. For the price range, it seems like a good pick. I immediately uninstalled the RGB control software after a quick spin when I got the keyboard. I remember it being nearly unusable. The big downside: After 18 months, the battery refuses to charge. The red "dead battery" indicator LED under the spacebar doesn't even come on anymore when it's unplugged. I'm not real happy about having a possibly damaged lithium battery that could potentially catch fire underneath my hands for several hours a day, and it's now a wired-only keyboard. So, if wireless functionality is key for your use case, pass on this brand altogether. Fitting brand name.
