  • Very impressive
The media could not be loaded. This is my first thermal scope so I don't have anything to compare it to, just fyi. I'm extremely impressed for the price point. I have done research and I can say this is a deal for the price. Great features, I have hooked up to my phone with no issues. I was able to transfer videos and use my phone as an external monitor. Menu funcing smooth and the scope powers on and is ready for use within 8-10 seconds. I like that it uses a wappable 18650 battery and it came with 2 batteries. It's relatively light weight but still has a solid build quality. I do wish it had a wider zoom area. Hard to scan a large area. Totally worth the $$. ... show more

  • Very good value. Great intro product for thermals.
I needed to control pigs and coyotes. Since they are both nocturnal, I chose to try a thermal scope. This was simple to mount. Using aluminum foil, it is simple to sight in. I have removed and installed it back on the same gun a couple of times and it does hold its zero. Identification of animals is easy out to 100 yards on skunks, armadillos, rabbits, etc. 200 yards is as far as I am able to shoot in the east Texas woods and seeing the difference between pigs, coyotes, deer, and cattle is not a problem. I use only 1 rifle for this so I have no need for multiple zeros. I have killed 100% of the animals I have shot at with this scope. I definitely recommend this for my type of application. ... show more

  • Best entry level thermal scope I’ve come across
I was looking for a thermal scope for predator hunting within 150 yards with a moderated .25 cal Huben K1. I had tried several other thermal scopes ranging from this to $3000 options. This scope sets itself apart in several ways: 1.) Weight - this is the lightest thermal scope I’ve come across. 2.) Battery - this uses an externally charging and swappable18650 battery. The primary competition to this scope would probably be the base AGM Rattler V2, and that uses a far heavier proprietary battery, which not only results in a far heavier scope, but one that is less ergonomic to operate. 3.) Image Quality/Refresh Rate - it’s solid. I’ve taken out field mice at 40 yards. Focuses very well too, holds zero, included mount is solid. 4.) reticle/zoom options - I prefer the simplicity compared to other options. Out the box you can cycle between 3.5 and 7x, and can spontaneously have a magnification box of up to 14x corresponding to the portion over the reticle. A lot of other scopes have this, but the ease of use is exceptional in comparison. I can’t speak to this scope in application for larger game, I probably wouldn’t use this if I were going past 200 yards, but in my use application, not sure I could do better. It is everything I want at an excellent value for money. ... show more

  • This is a great thermal for hog hunting!
Hey guys, I've had this scope long enough now to write a review, so here it is. My needs- Hog hunting on an AR platform within 200 yards. Prior setup- Sightmark Wraith and Pulsar Axion Key monocular. I've had this scope out on several hog hunts in East Texas with shooting buddies that have other thermals. I will say that this scope compares to, or may be slightly better than the TS-19 256. I feel that most people looking at these reviews will be making that choice. I was in the same boat, with just not enough information available to make a good decision. I made the leap and I'm very happy with my purchase. So far zero has held wonderfully, and I'm constantly removing the scope to use as a spotter while on the golf cart. Battery life just last night at 40 degrees went from full to half in about 6 hours. I had the extra just in case, but didn't need it. Picture quality- This one is very subjective, but here's my take.. You will see the heat signature bright and clear just like all your buddies with $3000 rigs. I hate to throw out numbers, but I've locked on to a heat source at well over 800 yards. Again being very subjective, I feel confident to make a shot within 200 yards knowing the difference between a deer and a hog. At 100 yards I can tell that its a spotted hog and see clear features. Don't forget when reading reviews that animal identification is about more than just a picture. It's about animal movement and behavior as well. I don't see this as a kid's scope or a buddy scope. I see it as a legitimate thermal for its specific needs. My brother has the TS35-384, and looking through them side by side, I can clearly see way more detail through his. Has that ever stopped me from taking a shot, no way! One other note, comparing this with my old Axion Key at 320 resolution, this looks so much better. The AI tech called "RET" does a great job at removing the gray haze from the picture, making it very sharp with more black and white contrast. I particularly like the white hot setting. I'm not big on all the features, so I won't comment there. The menu is very simple to navigate though, and the one shot zero works perfect. Who should not buy this- I would say the person with a 6.5 bolt action wanting to hunt coyotes at greater that 200 yards alone. Meaning, no other buddies that can help you with identification. Those guys will be looking at mucho dinero scopes. My 2 cents- Buy this and a BOG Deathgrip tripod for the same price as the next level up scope! Make good head shots and you'll be successful. Overall, I think you are very safe to buy this product, and I'll update the review if anything changes. Have fun out there, and help landowners out by eliminating an invasive species. ... show more
