They look like your standard rubber coated weights and Im sure that's exactly what they are (quality) but the product never showed up. Seems that it was "lost" in transit. Not the fault of these guys.

These dumbbells have a smaller diameter knurled handle than others I have, which makes it easier to run with them and keep a good grip on them while on the treadmill or in martial arts training, which is my main use for the five pound weight range. The pvc coating on the weight ends hold up to indoor use without a problem, but will obviously fall apart if exposed to heavy use/dropping the weights/other abuse on dirt, sand, gravel etc. outdoors. Price wise, these are a decently good deal compared to most, but there are some more cost effective options as well. ... show more

Very nice quality dumbbells- I really like the hex shape because it helps to keep me stable during workouts where I’m lifting from plank - these won’t roll! These are made of PVC so there’s no rubber odor if that’s a concern. The grips are well made - overall these are as well constructed as any other dumbbell brand I have. ... show more

The Ritfit PVC Encased Hex Dumbbell is beautifully crafted (see photo) and the machining on the handle is comfortable with a nice grip. The PVC coating softens the sound when placing the dumbbell on the floor (even hardwood from the ‘50s) and a yoga mat.
