Thos is very good box at this price range. Its not a heavy box. The sound quality is good enough too. Is this as good as a three hundred dollar cd. Boombox? No. But it is greatfor thos price level perfect for my bathroom area. . Or garage area. It does have four speakers too. Big bass should not be expected at this range. Its good enough for radio , and cds. Baterries will go fast on this one if I use it in a car . But I did not want a expensive powerful box. I wanted a multi media machine I could carry around with me wherever I go and that's what I got! The sound quality is fine for me and I don't require DJ quality sound. The reception works pretty well. Again, as I didn't spend a fortune for this gem, reception is good but hard to find some stations. A + is that it has both FM AND AM STATIONS. This was important to me. The size is perfect. I'm 70 years young and don't want to lug a big heavy machine with me when I go outdoors to do my gardening. Very nice radio for the price and, from what I've read in the reviews of those cheaper, this was an excellent choice. Receives AM and FM, haven't tried the other features yet as I just got it today, unboxed it, plugged it in and it is exactly what I was looking for. Roughly 14-1/2" long, 6-1/2" tall, and 11" front to back. Nice sound and the speakers vents on the ends (no, they're not actually speakers) help fill the area. No heavy bass, I didn't expect it, it's not a big 200+watt unit. It will accept bluetooth IN but if you want to use bluetooth headphones or earbuds, an OUT signal, a bluetooth transmitter that fits the 3.5mm headphone plug, they can be found on Amazon. Not sure how long it'll last but the last portable radio I bought was 30 years ago and it's still working. AM is very weak during the day, which is normal, but, being the tight-wad I am, I'll make an antenna for it. There is no plug for an antenna. Works with MP3 and WMV audio files. 22wats total for the whole unit so I'd guess the the left and right speakers, 2 each side, are around 10 watts each (gotta have a watt or two for the rest to work). No remote, not advertised to have one. Digital tuning with programable presets. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in a relatively small boombox with good sound. ... show more

This is the second radio I've purchased from Amazon in the past few months that failed in this manor. It worked great for about three weaks. After that, the power supply broke down. Now when I turn on the system, it works for about 10 to 15 minutes then shuts down, After a few hours it can be turned on again but with the same result. Made this purchase in order to have a portable F/M radio without having to worry about a recharging or trying to keep the ear pieces in while working in the yard. F/M stations come in very well and the light weight allows me to place it anywhere.

We bought this Boom box because of the number of media it could use as a source. The pitch is that it will play CD's, USB, SD, AM/FM, and an AUX input. I tested the USB and the music i had loaded played well and the sound was good. SD was the same it played well and the sound was also good. The AM/FM did well enough but didn't pick up as many stations as it should have for our area. It would also search for a playable station which was helpful. The AM/FM was a little weak but use able. The AUX worked as expected. The controls were easy to figure out and i had no trouble using them. The thing that was the most disturbing was the CD function. The one thing we bought the Boom box for was the CD player. The CD player would sometimes play a CD sometimes not. It would start playing then quit. On occasion it would start to play again. More often than not it just quit. Some CD's it would not play at all. Ok so was it the CD's or the player? I would clean the CD's and retry them but no go. I would stick the CD in another player and it would play without a hitch. I would put the same CD back into the Boom box and got the same result as before. We had no recourse but to return this product very disappointed. ... show more
