We attached this to our house over an overhead door going into a workroom. We are using it for a greenhouse. Overall, the install was fairly straightforward. We placed a seal around the base to keep pests at bay. We finished in September and so far, we are happy with the product. It does get HOT in the room, so we ordered a vent fan and installed it in the top side section. We may order another to place above the door to keep air flowing. We also installed mini blinds to manage direct sunlight during the hot part of the day. The door doesn’t have a great seal, so we are still trying to figure out what to do there. All in all, a good product. Glad we did it!

I bought the Rion Sun Room in October, and realized that this really does need to be installed professionally. First of all, the Sun room arrived late. Which I don't mind too much: while I had to pay an installation person for an hour to his time waiting when the delivery people had confirmed multiple times they were going to show up, amazon did refund $75 to me, so that covered what it had cost. There are three real issues: 1. The sun room size isn't what they say. The dimensions reported aren't even accurately internal dimensions, although that's the closest. Add ATLEAST 6" to your space plan before ordering this, or go and buy from a place where you can see and measure. In my case, this ended up costing me $1500 to fix my deck, so I could accommodate the size. 2. The installation is hard! Don't fall for "easy to put together on your own in a few hours". I hired a really good handyman to do this, who we use for complicated projects, and it took his two full working days to assemble. It cost me almost $1000 to get this assembled. Do account for that cost when you order this sun room. 3. The lock is stuck. The quality, ultimately, is really poor. The lock isn't broken. It's just stuck. The feel of the sun room is cheap. Overall, when I look back on the tradeoff I was trying to make between cost and easy/OK quality, this was not a winner. I would have been better off adding a little bit more money to what I spend and getting a sun room which would be exactly where I wanted it (vs the lean against wall variety), and would be a lot better quality and sturdier in the long run. This is a good idea, but isn't the quality and Do-it-yourself ease to hit prime time. Will update this review as my experience with the sun room progresses. For now, am planning to take off the lock entirely and put duct tape on there. UPDATE: It rarely snows in Seattle, but it does occasionally. Well, clearly this sun room should not be used in any place snow is a possibility. When it snowed, the snow weighed the panels down and they collapsed. This isn't an accumulation over time. Just ONE snow! It hadn't even finished snowing for me to get out and clean up the accumulation on top of the sun room. Basically, the materials are too cheap to really withstand any weather. Save your money. Get a real shed or sun room. Regretting having spent such a sizeable sum on a complete disaster.

The quality of the parts is just poor enough that not all the pieces fit correctly. You may need to pull out a saw, mallet, or other tools to modify or install parts. If you aren't super handy, hire a pro. If the quality were high enough to allow all the parts to be easily installed as designed, this project would have taken half the time it did (approximately 20 to 25 man hours so, and we haven't finished the door or seals yet). I'll preface this by saying we spent a few hours prepping the installation location to ensure the base was absolutely level and square, and perfectly square with the wall. Based on previous experience, not having everything squared up beforehand is a recipe for disaster because parts will not line up, get twisted, etc., and these issues increase the closer to completion you get. We installed this on the east side of the house to cover the patio and arcadia door. The predominant winds here are southwest, so it won't be exposed directly to the worst winds. It serves to insulate the arcadia door (which has a dog door in it), as well as a greenhouse, sun room, and mud room. Issues we encountered: * One of window frames was a bit too small, and we had to shave (with a circular saw) 1/16" off the acrylic pane to get it installed. * Most of the rail mounts (7608/7609) did not slide in easily. We lubricated the rail and slot with furniture polish, and used brute force and a mallet to get those pieces installed. * One of the rails (7613) did not slide on well at all. That required quite a bit of time tapping it with the mallet to get it in place, and we had to be very careful not to tap it in too far because we'd never pull it back out. * Instructions and cited required parts for installing the bottom window rails (7225/7225F) were incorrect. 7225F is just a bit longer, and is used on both the far right and far left windows, where the shorter 7225 is for the center windows. Instructions called for 6 of 7225 and 2 7225F. The packages actually had 4 of each, which was correct after we studied the situation for a few minutes. * The vent window is simply poor quality, and very rickety. * Stickers don't come off easily, so I'll have to spend a lot of time with rubbing alcohol trying to get them cleaned up. On the positive side: * The assembled sun room feels very sturdy. We get snow and pretty strong winds. I have no doubt it will stand up to the winds it will experience on the more protected side of the house. * I love the clear panes. While they won't insulate as well, it's nice to be able to see out the arcadia door into the back yard. * I appreciated having the choice to install the door on either end. * There were no missing parts. * In general, the assembly is much easier than our previous greenhouse, which had a million nuts and bolts, and required a lot of adjusting to get it properly squared up.

This product is very light weight. Assembly was time consuming, and the instructions are something that need improvement. After getting it set up it seemed to be an okay greenhouse but when a steady wind blows the roof panels flex out of place and end up on the ground. This has happened multiple times. I rate this a fair to poor greenhouse for open areas. The fit and finish is not the best. Assembly is time consuming, and the instructions are poor.
