Ok, did I really think I needed a mat this large? Not really. Did I want one this large? YES! I absolutely fell in love with this mat at its first use. I don’t necessarily think this is a great mat for a beginner gymnast, but for someone who already has good control, I think it would be nice. I’m using it as an exercise mat and have loved how thick it is. It adds extra cushioning I need under my knees and wrists, making movements much more comfortable and less jarring. I also love the extra room compared to regular yoga mats. I can move around without constantly repositioning myself or having my feet slide off the edge. Overall, I’d say it’s pretty durable. When my 65-lb dog ran across it (not the one in the pic haha), it did leave a few puncture marks, but that’s really just a cosmetic issue. The mat comes with a storage/carrying strap, and I was so glad to see that included. It’s so large and thick that I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t stay rolled up without the strap. ... show more

This mat has been such a great addition to our home setup. My daughter is really into gymnastics, and we already have a bar at home - she was SO excited to try this mat with it. The extra thickness makes a big difference. It provides that added cushion and peace of mind if she slips or falls while practicing. She also loves using it for her floor work and flips. The size (6x4 ft) gives her plenty of space to move comfortably, and the anti-slip texture on both sides helps keep the mat securely in place during practice. What I really like is how versatile it is. Even if you don’t have a gymnastics bar, this would be a fantastic addition to a playroom. It creates a soft, safe surface for kids to play, tumble, or just be active indoors. I’m also planning to use it for my own home workouts. Since it’s thicker than a standard yoga mat, it feels much more comfortable during stretching, ab exercises, and floor work. It definitely helps reduce pressure on knees, elbows, and hips. This mat is a total tank when it comes to quality. I actually ended up using it in the kids' room as extra padding underneath their rug, and it’s been a great for softening the floor. The thickness is legit, it provides that cushion you really want if you’re worried about tumbles or just want a more comfortable surface. If I weren’t using it for the playroom, the footprint is massive enough for a serious home workout. It’s the perfect size for high-intensity stuff like burpees or long crunch circuits where you usually end up sliding off a standard-sized mat.     • What was i thinking?
Dang... have u ever ordered something and then when u got it your like.....'why?' That's been my experience with this big ol' yoga mat so far. I thought it might be cool to have one yoga mat for me and my dude to share when we are doing our neck stretches or whatever other random thing we are into at the time... but then when this came, it was just like way too much. Plus, whats wrong with just laying out two mats next to each other? When I ordered this, that sounded unacceptable. But now that I have it, im like "yeah no, 2 matts are fine." Plus what is going on with this lime green color?? I am aware that I picked it, but there were only 2 colors available and I thought this one was the less obnoxious of the two. Turns out, it's still pretty obnoxious. U known what though? I think whether u can use something like this or not would really come down to what kind of space u have to use it in. For us, there is a LOT going on in our room. We moved his mom in with us a while ago (yaaay...not) and she pretty much took over the whole condo. We had to keep moving stuff into our room that she kept replacing with stuff she wanted (without even asking us... I know, its so much fun) so there is just not alot of vast and empty floor space. But if u are a normal person with a normal mother in law that only re-styles, say, the bedroom u give her... then maybe u are blessed with big open spaces and u can put this mat wherever your little heart desires. (Luckyyy - Napolian Dynomite) I will give it this- it is actually very thick. So more padded. Much more than any of the yoga mats I've had. So its actually pretty nice- quality wise. It came with a little strap thing to hold it together when its rolled up, and it doubles as a carrying harness. that was pretty thoughtful of them. Bc I can imagine it would be hard finding a harness for such a huge oversized yoga mat such as this. So yeah... while Im not really sure what i was thinking when I got this, I could see some1 in a much different situation really being happy with it. Oh! Like maybe a mom/dad and their little kids. Doing family yoga or something. Awe, that would be really cute. Hm, maybe i should see if my sister wants this... ... show more
