Okay the first review that's 3 pages long about how annoying the protective films you have to take off are is absolutely insane. The 2 films take literally a second each to remove, it's extremely easy and could not be less of a problem. This is a great slim case, protective where it counts and nice and clear to show off your device color in the back. Feels good, looks good, very happy with it. Love the idea just not the functionality. Not enough lip around the edge to keep the screen from damage if it falls face down. Other than that it is super slim, light weight and pretty durable. It's a sham I have to return it cause it was a really nice case

This case does everything I need. It's very slim for keeping my phone in my front pocket. It provides great protection from short drops. I tend to be very careful with my phone. It has very good grip on the sides. I had this same case for other phone models I've owned and never had cracked a screen or other damage to the devices. It's a very nice case. On the black 23U It's more a ghosted camo pattern. I'll try to shoot a decent vid. The instructions are self explanatory. Put it on this way, take it off in reverse. [rolls eyes] Not a darn thing about the protective film [shrugs] though. Probably because it is printed with the universal symbol for caution (triangle/exclamation mark) and it says to remove it. The text is correct looking at the inside of the case, sooooo, easy peasy? I gingerly scrap a edge up and peel. Mind you, maybe I am just overly cautious, or maybe the fact that my petrified thumb and nail can remove flathead screws caused (as others have stated) this simple task to take a considerably longer time than it should have. OK, maybe just a couple minutes. But still. Still, now I was happy. Wait! I think I need to remove the protective film from the outside 🤔????? There's another printed warning ⚠️ to do it. I looked at the text, and it was correct looking at the inside again! I thought well, maybe a mistake. Stuff happens ya know. I look at the outside panel again, and nnnneeeeeaaaaaaah, Ijust wasn't feeling it. I decided to bite the bullet and try the inside again. Voila! Two anti-scratch protective film sheets on the inside of the case and none on the outside Y'all. Still, pita even for me. The case is cool though and worth the price. It looks great, and would obviously look better on any other color phone than matte black, but it works for me. Like I said, it's a ghosted camo effect. This means you only get the full camo effect at the right angle in the right light. As you rotate/change angle it goes from "oh, it's camo" to "oh wait, now it's still camo, but all different shades of black so harder to see". Protection is decent. Better than some. It's my EDC case. When I need added protection, I switch back to my UB Beetle. It makes the phone a brick but for a active outdoor lifestyle it's better for me. This case is a trimmed down version. I still take it on short hikes with the pups but, I'm cautious. The buttons and pen are more easily accessed here. Zero issues with charging on a Sammy dual or my generic Tylt. It's less of a silicone feel than I thought it'd be. Nice to keep debris off but maybe slippery with gloves in dry snow? There's a built in lanyard attachment port on the left spine nearer to the bottom than the top. So no worries about that. I'd go 4 stars with this, maybe 4.5, but only if they add something about the ( #doubleprotectivefilm ) two layers of anti-scratch protective film on the inside of the case. Let's hope all the references to this here helps more people like others helped me with it. ... show more
