Update: The clear case does turn yellow over time. Mine took about a year. No amount of washing will remove the yellow - even a bleach bath failed. I junked it. The connection for a 'lanyard' is so useful, however, that I will order another one, this time in black. This is my second ringke case: this one for my wife's Google pixel 2 XL. It fits perfectly of course because it has been designed for the 2 XL it's NOT a universal fit that never quite fits anything well. For those who like to see their expensive Electronics well wrapped in plastic there may be a bit of disappointment here however this is really good protection that preserves the thin, sleek elegance of the device as it was designed. The least advertised aspect of this case and frankly the one of most interest to me and most of the friends who have admired it is its ability to attach a wrist strap. The happy problem with these new Google phones is that their camera is so good that you abandon your digital camera. Holding the phone securely as a camera over the course of a two-week vacation usually results in a drop or two. The wrist strap puts an end to that. You will have to bring your own wrist stap: that is NOT included, but Amazon can help that too. I bought these Nylon Lanyards for USB Flash Drive Cell Phone which work perfectly. Or just take the one off that old digital camera you won't be needing anymore ;-). ... show more

Put this case on as soon as I got my black Pixel 2 XL and love the texture on the back. I’m not a big fan of the matte finish that the phone has and this case makes it so much better. There are 3D like line patterns that not only makes the phone look even more awesome but easier to handle as well. I didn’t realize how wide the phone was and this case doesn’t add too much bulk on top of it. It’s a good size case and happy to find such a jewel that ticks off all my requirements. ... show more

    • Comparison with Ringke slim slender case and Google case
I bought three cases for Pixel 2 XL: * Ringke Bevel * Ringke Slim (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0792PL2NR) case. * Google Pixel 2 case (fabric case) I've initially used Google Pixel 2 XL case (fabric), but it is staying in my drawer because the touch feel is not great. Despite it being a fabric case, the feel of its surface is compared to touching a card board box than fabric and it is actually slippery. So I decided to try Ringky cases (Bevel - grey and Slim - black). * Bevel case link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075SYVV3M * Slim case link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0792PL2NR Both of Ringke cases are great, but here are a few differences. Wieght: * Slim case is slightly lighter. The actual weight difference might even be close to nothing, but it feels much lighter when holding the phone due to Slim case's design. Buttons: * Slim case exposes them, but feels more natural to press buttons. And notch feels good when you hold the phone. * Bevel case covers them. It does not make it too hard to press buttons, but slightly less natural than Slim case. Grip/Touch feeling: * Slim case (Black) offers better grip/feeling than Bevel. Despite the texture of Bevel, the material used in Slim case feels way better at your finger. * Bevel is not too bad, but if you hold it long, your sweat will make its back slippery. Look * Bevel's back is eye catching and shows back of the phone. Front is as boring as any other clear TPU case. * Slim case's front looks very good as it is not adding much to the phone. The back is dull looking and finger print magnet, but touching it feels great. Protection * It feels Bevel will provide slightly better protection due to TPU material. * However, I like to add a note that I have dropped my Nexus 5x phone with Ringke slim case multiple times and it surprisingly offered great protection despite how slim it is. So overall either choice is good, but if you care about the look of front, lightness of case, and how it feels on your hand, I suggest to go with Slim case. If you like the back design of case, then Bevel is good as well. I am keeping both of Ringke cases. Oh.. using Ringke cases with the lanyard is great idea. Easier to pull phone out of your tight pocket and feels safer when holding them. ... show more

It's a decent case. Grippy, seems to protect the phone well. 3 years later, the case (and phone it's been protecting) have held up well. The only real issue is that over those 3 years, the case has turned a deep yellow/brown. When new, it was crystal clear. To be honest, I don't know when exactly it started to change color. If you're someone that doesn't keep phones very long, this is a great case. Otherwise, look for something black or not made of this material (TPU). ... show more

This is an excellent case, especially considering price. Fit is tight and perfect, button click easily, cutouts all line up nicely and the back is quite grippy. Very slim with maybe a little extra bulk on corners for drop protection. Only negative I can come up with is ribs on back seem to collect dust and debris, but really that just nitpicking. ... show more

    • Proven Great Looking Protection
This case, for me and My Pixel 2 XL, is perfect.The 100% TPU case material is NOT hard plastic but a softer, easy to grip side and back cover -- just enough for a good grip but not sticky. My large Nexus 6P TPU survived two edge falls but its Ringke TPU case protected it from any damage. BTW, that older case is still in good shape - no yellowing, very, very few scratches and still fits tightly. The fit on this new case is properly snug, the front lip lets you safely put the phone down on its face. Appearance-wise, the transparent ridges on the case's back are both a great design touch and a grip enhancer. Functionally, the case is invisible to the phone - everything works exactly as it should. Buttons, camera, side squeezes, everything. Except maybe for the first Star Wars movie 42 years ago, this is the most satisfying $12 I can remember spending. Highly recommended! ... show more
