  • I love this!
I actually ordered a mason bee hive from this same company before and was so happy with it, I ordered another. My mason bees completely filled up every tube on my last one so I'm happy to have another one they can use this spring. I really like the wax coating on the wood. It helps with rotten wood issues. The tubes are a great size and easy to replace when you need more (unlike my experience with bamboo). If this one fills up as well as my other, I'll probably buy another one from this same company because I'm really happy with the quality. They're sturdy. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Cute, Functional and a Great value!
These little houses are great value for the money! It’s the first time buying a bee house with removable tubes - there were so many out there and since I’m still learning about mason bees, I didn’t want to spend too much money. The price was great and the bee houses are sturdy with a few exceptions. I read the other reviews so I was prepared to have to send any broken hives back but all 7 hives arrived in good condition. I noticed a couple of the backs of the houses were coming unglued so I used a small screw to attach the loose corner. In my estimation, still a great deal considering I don’t know how to build one myself and want the inexpensive, quick purchase allowing me to get on with getting houses up while the bees were still active. The houses came with a bit of twine, some hardware and 2 types of hooks already attached to the boxes. I just hung the boxes by the hook on a nail. ... show more

  • Well-designed and durable mason bee house (with caveat)
I would have given this a 5-five-star review based on the sturdiness, design, and durability of this bee house. I have used it for one year, and it is sheltered under an eave. The tubes are replaceable which is a nice feature because wasp parasites can affect the bees and the tubes should be replaced about every three years. I down-graded the review to 3-stars because of the ethics of the seller. About a year after I purchased this I was asked to provide comments on a new design of the Pollibee house which I did had not purchased. Pollibee offered to send me (for free) a newly designed house with a gable-style roof. I commented that that new design might accommodate a wider range of bee species, but wasn't sure it could be cleaned out. Pollibee said that in order to receive the free gift I should buy the newly designed house on Amazon, and they asked for my Paypal account so they could reimburse me. The presumption is that they would publish my comments as a "verified review" This had all the markings of review fraud, and I reported it. So, I cannot have confidence in all the reviews. As for my review of the house itself, I am pleased, but I don't trust the ethics of the company. ... show more

  • Got lazy on this one.
This is my second mason bee house from this vendor. I was shocked that the vendor put a piece on the top that was clearly a broken piece of wood. The entire house is put together really well and waterproofed with some waxy substance but then this. It's concerning that the builder that it was ok to put it back together and not use a new piece. It's especially concerning because this piece is on the top. I'm not sure what the builder thinks is going to happen outside in the sun, rain and snow to this crack over time... This type of shortcut makes me sad. ... show more

  • Mason Bee house with a suggested improvement.
Like the product with one suggestion. The ‘roof’ should have more of an overhang per all the directions I learned about after watching a video on Mason Bees. I added a piece if wood with a 2” overhang. It keeps the rain out and gives some protection. Next house, we will build our own. We needed a house quickly so this did the job. ... show more

  • Good value. Highly productive.
Least expensive cost for just the bee tubes on amazon.. The bee house was a bonus that works just fine, provided you place it in a sheltered area. I lined most of the cardboard tubes with 5/ 16" x 7 3/4" foot print paper drinking straws split legthwise and cut to fit, so that I can reuse the tubes. I think that there are 160 tubes. In the three weeks since I put it up every tube is full. 10 cells potentially per tube, as many as 1600 bees. Lots of value for under $20. ... show more

  • Really nice Mason bee house
I don't have a strong tree or area to hang a mason bee house, and my current wood block bee house couldn't be cleaned appropriately. I wanted a box style house that could sit on a table. I worried a bit about the posts where their houses arrived were damaged. I ordered two, which were delivered today, and I couldn't be happier----well built (no damage at all) & just the style/size I wanted!! My Mason Bees have been thrilled with it! ... show more

  • AWESOME PRODUCT
Product is wonderful. Great condition and has a waxy coating to protect from weather. Very sturdy, wood made from is thick and very well built. Can't beat it for the price and condition of product ... thinking might buy another one. Can't wait until spring so I can put it up in my garden for my leafcutter bees. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a bee house. You won't be disappointed! ... show more
