These 2nd gen sensors are easy to mount and linking them to your Ring app is no problem. We already had them on all our entrance doors. I wanted to have them on the garage car doors so that they were linked to the alarm and we could easily check to see of we left a door open. Through the magic of YouTube I found a simple and no tools way to do it. Just search for “ring garage door hinge” to see how it’s done. The only downside for me was that I have metal doors and the magnet in the sensors are so strong that I had to raise the sensors off the door. So easy to install and connect to your Ring. My son had it I stalled in less than 2 minutes. Just peel and stick. I like how it chimes together you k ow that a window or door has been opened. I named each device so I know exactly which one has been opened.
