Great, beautiful product here; mine is the light walnut finish. Of course it is not authentic, but quality and attention to detail are here. It arrived safe and well packed. There are no instructions and no clear plastic spacers included to put between the glass and wood; I found them later on amazon. It is very heavy so you should always have another person to help lift/move it. I just looked up the price of an original coffee table on first bids: $13,125.00 so with this one your savings is substantial but the enjoyment is equal. If amazon will allow it, here's some history everyone should know about this piece of functional sculpture: As Isamu Noguchi (1904–88) saw it, he only created one truly good piece of furniture, a coffee table. Despite his legacy of design that combined dynamic forms with organic materials and resulted in an oeuvre still widely celebrated today, the Japanese-American artist and designer considered the Noguchi coffee table his singular success. In 1944, Noguchi created the first version of his classic coffee table as a riff on a piece he designed for former MoMA president, A. Conger Goodyear, five years earlier. According to design lore, industrial designer and magazine journalist George Nelson visited Noguchi while working on an article titled “How to Make a Table” and found him at work on a prototype for the piece that would later become the Noguchi coffee table. Nelson, then the director of design at Herman Miller, was not only so taken by Noguchi’s creation that he used it to illustrate his essay but he also allegedly convinced the legendary furniture manufacturer to produce it. Beginning in 1948, the company did. Art enthusiasts may compare the Noguchi table’s sculptural base to the work of a certain Romanian sculptor — and for good reason. A young Isamu Noguchi worked as Constantin Brancusi’s assistant for several months in 1927 before embarking on a wide-spanning career. He dabbled in furniture and lighting design, sculpture and more. Although it was produced some 15 years after Noguchi left Brancusi’s studio, the coffee table, with its sinuously shaped base, bears a stylistic similarity to Brancusi’s work. It also draws from the kind of abstract sculpture that Noguchi began to create during the 1940s while living in New York City’s Greenwich Village, where he first designed the table. Comprised of just two materials — wood and glass — the coffee table is visually complex yet ingenious in its simplicity. Two interlocking, identical wood pieces act as the base of Noguchi’s design, and they’re covered with a glass top. Due to the base’s asymmetrical form, the table looks different from any angle — and the clear top ensures that no angle is ever obscured. When it debuted in the Herman Miller catalogue, the Noguchi coffee table was touted as a “sculpture for use.” Noguchi produced the first version of the table in rosewood, and Herman Miller now offers it in black, cherry, walnut and white ash, each of which uniquely celebrates the artist’s deep appreciation for natural materials.

Noguchi table that looks timeless, elegant, and refined. Glass is thick and heavy and great quality. Definitely recommend, with helpful customer service. Only issue is the screw connecting the two table legs bears most of the heavy glass weight so it can warp and break at the head of the screw but customer service was very helpful and sent replacement legs very quickly.

Really gorgeous table. Excellent quality. The glass is very heavy which is a good thing. The only thing I’m a bit upset about is the color. It looks more like a reddish brown than a true walnut brown color. It does say it looks different depending on the lighting but I’d strongly disagree with this. It’s a really pretty table otherwise.

I absolutely love it - but it might not be for everyone. The glass top is incredible. Thick, heavy, with smooth edges. Unlike the ordinary. The bottom is minimalistic & sturdy. Only one screw puts it together. Its flexible to a degree so you can slide it into different positions. However - the glass top is HEAVY and the base is somewhat malleable. It’s a dream for designers (like me) but maybe not for those who want lightweight dummy-proof furniture. Pro tip: watch your shins at first. The glass edges are beautiful but painful until you get familiar with it. It’s one of my favorite buys ever on Amazon.

Overall very happy with the table especially for the price. I got the regular walnut, not the "updated" version - wish the seller would include the differences outside of just the price. The color is a bit reddish as most have said but you don't really notice after a few days. The glass is very thick and heavy, so the table is very sturdy compared to the other cheaper options. Only thing needed would be some rubber stick on pieces to put on between the wood and glass.

Okay, overall this product has 5 star reviews, and I give it the same. It is beautiful and worth the price. I've probably looked at over 1,000 coffee table options in the last month before ordering this one. Given that most furniture on Amazon and other sites I shopped on were lower-priced, I had to swallow hard and cross my fingers. It did not disappoint. It looks just like the photos. I give a shout-out to their packaging engineer. This well one of the best-packed heavy items I've ever received. There were holes in the box and it looked like it had been on a journey. That had me worried, but not a single scratch or crack. I read the 1-3 star reviews, so I make these helpful notes that don't seem to have been obvious for some. 1) this is a grown up coffee table - if you have kids, don't buy this because one night of rough-housing and someone is going to get hurt. The glass just sits on the base without anything to secure it; 2) same goes for using it as an ottoman - if you want a table you can put your feet up on, then get one with 4 legs attached to the top. It won't look as cool as this one though; 3) it is super heavy, so you'll need at least 2 to move the box and to assemble; 4) there is an assembly video on Amazon (open up your order to get to it) before you open the box. The base goes together with one long bolt, and the video shows you where to start. To the person who said it didn't come with a cap to cover the sunk-in bolt, that side is the bottom of the table. It goes on floor. I guess if you have a glass floor, you can see it from the level below.

Beautiful table, I LOVE it! Only issue was the weight of the glass. There are no pads or anything to secure the glass to the frame but with the weight of the glass I don't think you can nudge it and knock it off. Have no big strong men (or women) around so I had to hire a handyman to unpack it and put the glass on for me, but he didn't charge since I overpaid him when he fixed a couple of my doors a few months ago. It matches the shape of my dining room table and I found end tables to match so it looks great and I have now replaced all of my furniture which was lost during Hurricane Helene. Feels good to be whole again!
