I bought this stand for my Rikon 10 inch band saw. It is much better than having it on a bench. The stand itself is quite sturdy and stable. I would suggest that when you attach the band saw to the stand, reverse the bolts to have the nut end underneath, opposite to what they show in their assembly diagram (shown in picture as well). This will minimize the potential of scraping your knuckle on the expose bolt end. ... show more

Well made stand that's easy to assemble, but you need to follow the directions or the holes won't line up correctly. Hint: don't tighten the bolts all the way until it's fully assembled and you can make sure of the stand being level. Although the pieces fit together well, there is enough play so that you need to adjust before the final tightening. ... show more

This is the best 10 inch band saw on the market. After watching you tube comparisons and reviews for several months I decided this is the saw for me. My philosophy is buy the best and save money in the long run by only spending money once for tools. This saw performs as advertised and believe me the blade that comes with it is super sharp and cuts well. The initial setup is easy and requires very little adjustment. The fit and trim is perfect. This is a rugged and stable machine. I put mine on wheels to move it around easy as my shop is very small and I move all my woodworking machines out of the shop to do my work. really happy with my band saw from Nikon. wish I had not bought the stand and just made my own so I could put a shelf underneath and some rollers on the legs. the stand that came with it is fine but very difficult to start adding to it but I will anyway. glad I bought the Rikon band saw.

The stand I received was obviously returned by someone and it was missing one bolt. Luckily I’m enough of a hoarder that I had a bolt that I was able to substitute. Assembly is more difficult than it should be as there are no instructions (or at least not with the stand I received). RIKON had a schematic posted online so I was able to use that. Even without instructions it was pretty obvious how parts lined up. I can only guess that the seller (yellow hammer tools) didn’t fully inspect the return before selling it to me. Two suggestions: first, only finger tighten the bolts until you are done with the assembly. Second, the legs go on the outside of the horizontal supports. This isn’t obvious but it is the only way to get all holes to align. There is a tight confluence of bolts in the corners (see picture one) that makes it awkward to install them. This is a design flaw for which I’m disappointed in RIKON especially given how well designed the bandsaw itself is compared to this “matching “ stand. All in all I probably should have built my own stand instead of ending up with a returned product missing hardware and with no instructions. Even with the problems, once the saw is mounted the stand provides solid stability and no vibration. ... show more
