This is the best 10 inch band saw on the market. After watching you tube comparisons and reviews for several months I decided this is the saw for me. My philosophy is buy the best and save money in the long run by only spending money once for tools. This saw performs as advertised and believe me the blade that comes with it is super sharp and cuts well. The initial setup is easy and requires very little adjustment. The fit and trim is perfect. This is a rugged and stable machine. I put mine on wheels to move it around easy as my shop is very small and I move all my woodworking machines out of the shop to do my work. Honestly this is a great heavy duty tool stand. I bought it to go with the Rikon band saw that I bought and was actually surprised at the quality of materials used to manufacture the stand. The only problem I had with assembling the stand and mounting the band saw was that two bolts did not initially line up with the holes in the base of the Rikon band saw, so I had to loosen the bolts on the stand and manipulate the stand a little to get everything to line up but all in all a great stand. ... show more

Stand worked well, a little pricy for what you get but it was easy to assemble and did the job for my Sears band saw, same one as the Rikon model. I just kept all hardware loose until it was setup before tighten the bolts. Nice and solid.

Dislike the rookie design; all of the fasteners at the corners are all adjacent. If the long and short horizontal components had their fasteners offset up or down would have really helped in assembly. That said, it is a very sturdy stand. If you are tall, you may need blocks under the stand.

Well made stand that's easy to assemble, but you need to follow the directions or the holes won't line up correctly. Hint: don't tighten the bolts all the way until it's fully assembled and you can make sure of the stand being level. The stand I received was obviously returned by someone and it was missing one bolt. Luckily I’m enough of a hoarder that I had a bolt that I was able to substitute. Assembly is more difficult than it should be as there are no instructions (or at least not with the stand I received). RIKON had a schematic posted online so I was able to use that. Even without instructions it was pretty obvious how parts lined up. I can only guess that the seller (yellow hammer tools) didn’t fully inspect the return before selling it to me. Two suggestions: first, only finger tighten the bolts until you are done with the assembly. Second, the legs go on the outside of the horizontal supports. This isn’t obvious but it is the only way to get all holes to align. There is a tight confluence of bolts in the corners (see picture one) that makes it awkward to install them. This is a design flaw for which I’m disappointed in RIKON especially given how well designed the bandsaw itself is compared to this “matching “ stand. All in all I probably should have built my own stand instead of ending up with a returned product missing hardware and with no instructions. Even with the problems, once the saw is mounted the stand provides solid stability and no vibration. ... show more
