Installation instructions are insufficient. Strip the wire as labeled. Remove back plate and wire holder. Remove the three screws holding the additional back plate on the plug. Loosen screws so the plates give enough distance to secure your wire. pass the wires from your cord into the empty slots on the white back plate. guide the wires so they are between the mobile and secured plates. tighten the screws so wires are secured between the two plates. replace three screws that will hold white back plate to plug housing. secure the black back plate to the plug. screw in the wire holder. should be good from there. sorry if my instructions don't help but this was my process. ... show more

My microwave was always leaning on the original plug causing it to bend. With this replacement plug, I could fix my cord and now keep it flush with my wall and outlet. Now, I no longer have my appliance leaning on it. Wonderful little gadget!

    • Pretty simple to install if you've wired plugs before, but...
Two out of the three back plate screws broke through the plastic on the first turn, which is great after you've spent the time feeding the wire through the holes and securing them to the appropriate terminals. This is the second 90 degree plug I've gotten, and I'm 0 for 2 on finding a good quality match. I wish I would've looked a little longer for a different one that was a bit more sturdy. Does it work? Yes. Did I use electrical tape to *make* it work the way it was intended to? Also yes. Unless you're putting a plug on a very small gauge wire, I'd keep looking. ... show more

A little confusing and lousy instructions, but It ultimately did the job. for as much paper as they used for the instruction sheet they could have explained the inner workings a little better, instead of being doing trial at error screw removal! Also I had to grind down the cable channels for heavier gauge wire, so don't believe everything they tell you. It's a bit overpriced as well, however it was the cheapest one of its kind that I could find! ... show more
