Description

A durable black ABS brace with neoprene padding and 3 straps, the Right Angle 2 is designed to keep the players swing arc wide and powerful. Why it was designed: Many inconsistencies are introduced when extra levers are introduced into the swing. Much like swaying or breaking the wrists, if a player collapses the arc of the swing at the top of the backswing it makes it more difficult coordinate the timing of getting the club back to square at impact. In addition, more power may be generated with a wider swing arc. How it works: The brace is designed to be work on the player's trailing arm. For right- handed players this would be the right arm. Although the device may be worn on the inside of the left arm for left-handed players it is really designed as a right-handed product. The amount that the arm may bend can be controlled by adjusting a cam in the middle of the brace. This is particularly useful if you are trying to learn shots from 100 yards and in where the tendency is to make a big backswing and decelerate. By limiting the arm bend, proper decent and acceleration through the shot is encouraged. A final feature of the product is the clicker. The product will making a clicking noise as you take the club to the top of the backswing. On the downswing the clicker should remain quiet all the way until the hands get back down to about hip height, then all the release clicks should sound at once. If any clicks are heard early on in the downswing it means you are 'casting' the club and losing power. This product may be used by men and women alike but is generally not used on children under 12. The Right Angle 2 has a fairly mechanical feel which provides clear-cut feedback on the position of the arm during the swing. This version is a successor to the original Leadbetter Right Link introduced in the 90's by Golf Training Systems and is a little more durable.

  • The Best Right Arm Training Aid
Color: Black
For those of you trying to maintain a straight lead arm or if you are trying to add width to your swing, this is the training aid to try. As a right handed golfer, I have always tended to excessively bend my left arm in the backswing. This swing flaw is actually the result of letting the right arm bend excessively. All professional golfers maintain a right angle bend of 90 degrees or greater. In other words, you want to keep the right arm as straight as possible and this will result in a straight left arm. I have tried all types of training aids designed to eliminate this fault and they all have limitations. The beauty of this training aid is you can adjust the angle and it will ensure your right arm maintains this position. This product is well made and really works. It is a bit cumbersome but achieves the stated purpose. I did not receive any instructions but it is pretty easy to figure out. The one and only criticism I have is the clicking mechanism is pretty subtle. That being said, some people might prefer a less noticeable sound. You can adjust the number of clicks based on your individual preference. I honestly believe you can’t find a better training aid for the intended purpose. ... show more

  • Awesome Aid!
Color: Black
This device is adjustable and you can set it to be as subtle or as for a support as you like. Prevents you from collapsing your right elbow in the backswing and losing all the width and power you built earlier in the backswing. Also, right elbow collapse causes flipping the club into impact, leading to all sorts of thin fat shanked or rope hooked balls. I use it in conjunction with the left elbow weighted swing trainer, and on video it looks like a perfect professional backswing. Triangle gets preserved well into the backswing, and it actually helps my tempo from getting too quick, which I struggle with. ... show more

  • Very solid training tool
Color: Black
I ordered this tool at the recommendation of my golf pro and instructor. I have a single plane swing (changed from a 2 plane swing) and I still have a tendency to collapse my right elbow in my backswing. I was in between 4-5 stars for the rating. In terms of how it helped my swing and helped me get into plane while also getting the right extension in my backswing, it is 5 stars. In terms of ease of use, it gets a four start rating, mostly because it is a bit clunky and takes some regular adjusting throughout a practice round. That said, I would recommend it for anyone who needs a training device to support proper right elbow movement. It really helped me! ... show more

  • Snake oil , another gimmick training aid
Color: Black
Wanted to see if I could use this to help build lag and hold the angle on the back swing. First, let's talk about the product itself. It's crude, didn't really fit well and while the pamphlet is useful, let's you figure out on your own the right fit. Second the "clicking" mechanism is a piece of plastic that took a lot of effort to set and unset. Tried it a few times with a slow shallow swing and a full swing. It left my elbow hurting and likely injured after a day of practice at the range. My elbow is now wrapped in ace bandage and ice! So buyer beware of the slick marketing video with the British accent. At best you'll get marginal improvement, at worse it will cause injury like it did for me. ... show more

  • Great training aid
Color: Black
I'm not a big fan of training aids, but this thing works. It forces a shoulder turn and gets the club in the correct position on the backswing to make the downswing simpler. I just wish I could play with it on!
