Does the job. Powerful. Blade is easy to install and lock in place. Grip is good but a handle so pressure could be applied while cutting would be nice. A fully charged Rigid brand battery lasted only 15 minutes. When a battery reaches level 2 out of 4 charge, the tool will stall if cutting too hard. Compared to an electric saw of same type, no real comparison. Electric would win out. However, nice to have a saw in places where no electricity exists. ... show more

Easy setup. Great power. Easy blade swap. Using it with 14 inch big tooth blades cutting one to eight inch tree branches. New blades cut through 8 inch oak branch between 9 and 18 seconds. Very happy with that since i bought this instead of chain saw knowing it is more versatile and i can cut metal too. Day one cut four inch PVC pipe perfect, cut tree roots around tree base down about 12” then pulled up stump, and also cut off screws flush to the wall since heads were rusted off a couple 3/8” screws ... show more

Description says Lifetime Service Warranty, but when you go to register it, Ridgid tells you it has no warranty unless purchased from Home Depot where they charge $80.00 more for it. This is deceptive advertising and does not speak well for Amazon.com

The saw seems to work ok. However, it was dirty and looks to be used. The box was damaged and taped up. Not particularly impressed.
