    • Why not 5 Stars?
Great Table Saw! This is my 2nd one (sold the first with my previous home). So why not 5 stars? As it turns out, the lifetime warranty for parts and service is not applicable because Amazon is not an authorized reseller! There is no mention of this on the product page, and is nefarious at best. Amazon is purchasing the product through an authorized reseller, which explains the upcharge from Home Depot. That said, Home depot hasn't had the saw in stock for 6 months, which is why I paid a premium from Amazon. So, it turns out I paid more, for less. That's on me. It's also on Ridgid for allowing Amazon to sell the saw. They can easily shut it down. They obviously choose not to do so in the interest of profit. A horrible business practice.     • I upgraded the fence
I am writing this review mainly for Dennis Rudolph, who has a broken fence. I just wanted him to know that I have this saw and wasn't thrilled with the stock fence, although it was pretty good, actually. I bought an 32" Incra Lag-Screw fence for it, which fits perfectly and gives me the incredible fine adjustablility of Incra's LS fences. By shifting the 32" fence to the right, I was able to get a 48" rip capacity (it might be 50"; I forget right now). The down side is the fence costs MORE than the saw! (I bought the saw at Home Depot when it was $399; incredible deall). Still, it seems ridiculous, I know to spend more for a fence than for the saw it goes on, but it was worth it for me to get all of the capability of the Incra LS fence. Dennis; if I could email you directly, I would do it. You probably won't agree with me on the practicality of this upgrade, but the Incra fence made this saw incredibly precise. I can dial in 0.001" changes in the rip easily. Also, the Incra fence features a lockdown on the outfeed side that prevents even the slightest fence deflection. Even the Besemeyer fence on my Powermatic cabinet saw can't match that. PS: I have an Incra fence LS on my router table too. ... show more

    • Replacement parts
This Rigid table saw is a very good table saw until something on it breaks. My fence lock lever broke but when I called Rigid they said that part has been discontinued. OK, so I told them that I wanted to buy a whole new fence assembly. Also discontinued. I asked her about an aftermarket fence and she told their is no aftermarket parts available for this model number. I have searched everything on the internet for any type of aftermarket fence for this with no luck. As of right now, this table saw is basically useless. I will never buy anything from Rigid again! ... show more
