The couple of things I would have made differently would the coasters and the inside safe door but I know I can have them refitted if I wanted so no big deal or just leave because they do not affect the more parts of the safe like the lock and door. The safe for the most part is very good and made well . The little locking compartment inside the safe is poorly made not worth having it! I would buy one without that lock box .

    • Good Safe.....Not So Good Directions
Safe is a good one....liked the waterproof packet and the two levels. The directions are a little misleading. Followed the directions step by step...reset the code by pushing the "0" twice and then the red reset button on the back of the door. Yellow light came on, and then put the new code in and pushed "0" to confirm. There were 3 beeps and not 2. Then the directions say to open.... put in the personal code and press "0" to confirm. The buzzer beeps, but no green light. Tried to do this multiple times, and even reset the password several times....but no green light and no entry. Luckily on page 5, #4....it mentions the # button for function confirmation, but not in the directions on page 4. I tried putting in the code, and then pressing # like in a hotel safe. It worked. The direction number 1 on page 4 on how to open the safe is incorrect..... # is needed and not 0. Directions on page 4 need corrected. ... show more

    • Keypad will not work if you follow the instructions
I almost returned the safe until I came across a review that helped me to make the keypad work. After putting in your code do not hit O, instead you need to hit the # key, then it will beep twice and green light will come on. There should be a number to call for support.

Easy to install, fast to unlock with the keypad. This is a great way to protect your important items! The Riddost Fireproof Safe Box, 1.2 Cub was what I needed in my closet to store all my important stuff like money, weapon, photos, files, etc. The instructions will show you how to set the code, so you'll never forget your personal digits. If you forget password or battery dead, use emergency key to open safe. As the listing says: Exterior size: 11.81"D x 12.2"W x 14.57"H, This easily fit inside my floor of closet where I drilled and tap the screw that was included into the floor. The construction is nice too. Produced from thick steel there are three roll bolts, 20mm thick, to lock the safe. This makes it a pry-resistant steel door, and pry-resistant hinges are included in this security safe. I feel safe knowing my stuff is locked behind my personal safe! ... show more

    • It takes 2 keys to open the safe!
I love the safe, but I struggled to try and open it. It takes 2 keys. The larger key goes in the key hole on the left side and the medium key fits into a key hole that is hidden until you flip the gold colored panel open, located on the right. Insert both keys and then turn them in towards each other and then twist the knob to the right. Voila! ... show more

It's a solid safe box with two layers, just right for me to store some papers. Put the battery can set the password, easy to operate. It also comes with two keys. I fixed the bottom and back of it to the floor and the wall, and it's still strong. This safe box won't be too big but it will do for some family things. ... show more
