Im not a pro photographer. Im between a beginner and enthusiast. I need to photo for my hobby. This point and shoot SMALL camera has no on board flash. I have not needed a flash. I am no apature, shutter, iso or white balance master. But this camera makes it easier to understand and adjust. I may upload one of my photos later. The battery does not last long so carry 3 batteries charged. I do. There small. It uses larger sized SD cards 512G and larger. No real zoom. More on that below. Theres no on board EVF. Extra cost. Expensive. I have not had any issues needing EVF including outside. But the quality photos this little camera produces is nothing short of phenomenal! I can expand my photos to very large size with incredible sharpness and clarity. I would say this camera does not need zoom but i doubt moon craters would show in a moon shot. I now use this camera instead of reaching for my smart phone. Starts up QUICK! Not for video logging. I only wish it had 4k video. But it makes up for it for street and macro shots. Wow the macro shots are amazing. Buy it. Well worth the money for very least best pocket backup camera. ... show more

The GR series is an amazing camera, compact or otherwise. This is a little powerhouse. Pros- image quality, usability, features, image stabilization, size, a lot more. Cons- wrist strap that cannot cinch up (almost dropped it due to loose strap), no weather sealing, no tilt screen. Outside of the strap, you buy this camera knowing that there isn’t a tilting screen or weather sealing though. This little GR IIIX is on par with bigger and more expensive DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Yes it’s fixed focal length but it’s an amazing complement to my other bodies. Images are sharp and of great quality. The boot time of the camera is really fast and the focus speed (with the latest firmware) is exceptional so you literally can’t miss a shot. They say that the best camera is the one that you carry with you. There is no excuse to not carrying this camera in a jacket pocket. Its smaller in length than my iPhone 12 mini. Only noticeable downside is that the battery doesn’t last very long (you get about 200 shots per charge). I bought a second battery to compensate. This is a great little pocket camera unfortunately I discovered recently that when I change the battery the date and time setting is lost. So with each battery change I have to input the date and time setting. Now I have to try and return it for an exchange. This is always a horrible drawn out process with Amazon. Not looking forward to it. I think this will be the last time I will order a camera from Amazon. I will use my local retailer as returns or exchanges are easier. ... show more
