For my application, this frayed cotton ribbon is perfect. I craft denim upcycle and re-purpose. The 1-1/2 " width is great for ruffling. I use my ruffler attachment on my standard sewing machine and it makes quick work for rufflers. I then sew the ruffle onto denim garments. The frayed cotton gets softer with each washing. There is some shedding of threads. The end results after some wear is almost like chenille. This offering is a little pricey but manufactured with quality and has a huge selection of colors to choose from. NOT JUST FOR GIFT WRAPPING

This is very nice fabric ribbon. The weave is a little loose so it looks nice and "shabby chic", which is a plus in my book. I like that it's very vintage looking, and the brownish colors are very nice. Also it's a good size. The feel of it is soft and the frayed edges are a nice touch. Perfect for junk journaling.
