I read many of the reviews that said these were cheap locks and wouldn’t buy. I decided to check it out anyway. I looked at many others as well and found that most had unrealistic expectations when it comes to these types of locks. This lock was very well made and operated completely as expected. If you are expecting something that can’t be defeated then put your stuff in a building with security and it can still be taken. If you’re looking to have a common thief move on to the next and leave your stuff alone then this works great. Easy to install, good weight, and very secure.

Prior to this, I had a lock that I got from Tow Smart which was a disaster: poor fit, separate keys and the last time I took the lock off the key refused to come out. So I decided to upgrade and I am VERY happy I did! My first concern was that these two locks come keyed alike. I sent Rhino a message and they quickly replied that once I ordered to let them know and they assured me that it would be done. They came with four keys, all the same! Beautiful! These both fit like a glove and I didn't have some trouble that others mention (and I really don't think this is the fault of Rhino... they can't possibly accommodate EVERY difference in trailer in the world...). They fit snug to the trailer which I think makes it a bit more difficult for a would-be thief. And, in a less important way, these look great too... almost like it's part of the trailer. I'm never going back to wasting money on Tow Smart products again and will only be buying from Rhino; in fact, a locking hitch pin is on my list and they have already assured me that it can come keyed alike as well! THANK YOU RHINO!!!!

This feels like a very solid product set. Well made....in California! Easy to figure out. Looks good on. I chose this after deciding to not spend $220 on proven industries trailer and chain lock combo. I'll only be staying in campgrounds with services, decreasing likelihood of theft.

I bought a trailer lock from a big DIY store and installed it before leaving town. Came home and unlocked it,put it back together and key became stuck in lock. Fortunate to have gotten it off before it failed. Purchased Rhino to replace it. Fits great and locks work smoothly. Hopefully I won’t be buying another anytime soon.

Give it 3 out of 5 because it seems like pretty good quality but I bought the 2” one and it doesn’t fit my 2” coupler for my trailer

Will this prevent a theft? No. But it will slow them down or make them realize they were un prepared for this lock. I like the fact that one part locks inside the ball reciever, and the ball lock gets locked separate. We'll made product.
