The media could not be loaded. It’s a minuscule problem, but for an expensive purchase and let alone purchasing two tanks that came with the same dents upon arrival is kind of annoying. It’s tedious because I will hear it from the property owner complaining about dents on a brand new tank.

    • So much better than a Rinnai
Replaced a similar sized Rinnai with this Rheem. The Rheem is smaller, quieter and does a much better job than the Rinnai. I'm hoping that parts, repairs & maintenance will be easier with a traditional manufacturer like Rheem. Instructions were clear and it made things easier.

Came to me with water in it must of been a return. The front cover is damaged with a dent. Was missing the power cord that the instructions said it came with but it didn’t. Didn’t see used in the description.

    • Rheem does NOT stand behind warranty for defective / failed product
I had this unit fail on me after 11 months. It was installed properly, and to city code / checked and certified (new home build) It is rated "freeze proof to -30" degrees, which is not the case. It ruptured in 25 degree weather and the company is refusing warranty claiming "freeze" is not covered, but directly advertises the product as freeze proof to -30. ... show more

    • Poor Quality
Rheem tankless water heater are poor products, They should not create outdoor tankless water heater if they can't abide with their ads. This was a problem for all States experiencing cold weather and freezing temperature. definitely my neighbors and I concluded to not recommend Rheem products.

    • Easy to install and add sediment filters
Installed this to replace malfunctioning 9.5 gallon unit of the same brand. Only have 2 bathrooms so I purchased this 7 gallon unit to save a few bucks since the other one's larger output was unneeded. This unit was the same physical size, connections and mounting holes as the larger output unit making installation easier. No problems with installation by myself. Also added a 40 micron flushable sediment filter into a 10 inch, 1 micron replaceable string wound sediment filter on the cold water intake line to keep this one clean. Did not notice any difference in hot water supply with the installed filters. I would recommend sediment filters to keep the sediment from clogging up the unit and faucets, preferably for the whole house if you're able. ... show more
