Rheem RTG-70DVLN-1 is a mid-efficiency indoor natural gas tankless water heater designed for continuous hot water. Industry leading low flow activation with a minimum flow rate of .26GPM and minimum activation flow rate of .40GPM ensures hot water is received even in low demand situations. Ultra Low NOx burner meets SCAQMD rule requirements of safety with low emissions. While our exclusive Guardian Overheat Film Wrap prevents our units from reaching the dangerous temperatures others can. Add in our maintenance notification settings, self-diagnostic system and EcoNet enabled mobile app feature (additional kit available), buying the Rheem RTG tankless water heater makes perfect sense. Included are a digital remote control and 10ft. of thermostat wire. Best if used with up to 3 bathrooms; .81-.82UEF (.82EF Canada), 160,000BTU efficiency. Professional installation is required otherwise warranty void. Warranty: 12yr heat exchanger, 5 yr parts and 1 yr labor.

The house was built in 1950, and only has 1/2" gas lines, as well as a 3" exhaust vent for the original tank-style water heater. This size on-demand Water Heater requires 3/4" gas feed and 4" or better exhaust. Install would have cost between $2750 and $4000 due to the need to replace the gas line from the meter, as well as pulling the old exhaust vent from the roof, making a larger hole and installing a larger gas combustion exhaust vent pipe. This unit requires specific sized vent pipes that cannot be ordered on Amazon. I had to order the correct ones from Home Depot, 5 inch outer with 3 inch center concentric pipe. It’s too early to rate the heater.

Purchased this system to go into our rental house. After having a licensed plumber at the house for 7 hours on a Sunday dealing with this system, we finally found out that the reason it keeps blowing fuses is because the brand new yet that was just bought the mother board is shoot in it. So now the tenants go another week of no hot water in the house and I have to pay for another plumber to remover the bad unit and install a whole new one, again. ... show more

Had use the high dollar intake and exhaust in one pipe where some models use pvc for intake and pvc for exhaust. Other than that, it works great
