This was a breeze to install as long as you know a few tricks. The electric is fed into the case via a 1/2 electrical conduit fitting. To access the wire connections, simply remove the 3 screws on the bottom of the case and lift the cover off. The unit produces good hot water instantly. Very happy with the results. ... show more

For what it is it works great, we got the 240V 6.5KW heater, we use it for a single big sink, main thing to keep an eye on when setting up is how much water you flow through it, you need to restrict the flow of water so it can still get heated up. it doesn’t get super hot how we have it set up but it’s definitely warm, maybe it would be better if we restricted the flow even more. we used a ball valve to restrict water flow to the sink that way it’s adjustable . it is nice and small and easy to install. ... show more

The Rheem packaging states that this device will supply continuous hot water at 0.7gpm for the coldest region in the continental U.S.(and up from there) But the device comes with an aerator which limits the flow to 0.35gpm. and it wouldn't even keep that severely limited flow hot at 105 deg F. in the middle of summer! To one faucet! The Rheem tech support had me perform diags and it passed them all. The unit was performing at its best. They ended up telling me that I needed to purchase a larger unit. This is after I had contracted a licensed plumber re-plumb from a standard water heater. I had to go back to a standard water heater and re-plumb again. After a couple of hours they finally was allowed to speak to a customer service person who, after an hour on the phone, simply said "Sorry" Rheem customer service was pathetic. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing any Rheem products in the future. ... show more

Great heater! Fast but don't expect high flow or multi faucet use at same time with really hot water. You will need a dedicated 240v, 30 amp circuit to run this. Manual does not tell you how to remove the cover which you need to do to wire it - take the 3 screws out of the bottom of the cover, pry it open from there and pivot it back towards the top of the unit ... show more
