    • Great light for Run-and-Gun setups
I use this light as part of my run-and-gun setup, where I need something small and portable. I need something that I'm able to use in a variety of lighting conditions and not worry about having to keep the batteries charged since it will be used as a very small light. It's not going to be a big deal. It's not going to get in the way. It's small enough to just keep in a backpack pocket or a camera backpack. If I need it, it is available; If I don’t need it, then I don’t feel bad that I dragged along extra gear when I am trying to travel lightweight. The built-in battery is nice because it charges via USB-C, and the color temperature goes from 2500 to 9900 Kelvin. So no matter what situation you're in, you should be able to find a color temperature that works for you. It is a very bright light for its size. However, because of the built-in diffuser, you have to get pretty close to get a lot of light from it. I use this on a Video Rig for a phone, along with a receiver for the wireless lapel mic and the light itself. It goes into a cold shoe mount and comes with the cold shoe hardware needed. It has a magnetic back, and the magnet is strong enough to keep the light securely attached. It also has color effects, and you can change the light output to different colors, but I didn't use this at all in my workflow. I like that this is lightweight, and I like that it's small. I have used it before for streaming since I could attach it to a ¼ tripod mount on a boom arm; I had a small light on the little webcam I was using, and it did not put out enough light in a dark room that lit my face nicely. I ended up using this as a temporary fix. The diffuser worked well for that. The light was soft and pleasant on my face. Overall, for the price, I think it's a great light. It's a nice small, portable one to have definitely rated. I give it five stars; the only thing I don't like is the design on the back. I get it. They're supposed to be fun lights. They're supposed to be cute and fun. I just don't like the design, but I'm talking all about functionality. I'm out doing a running gun. It's not going to change anything on the shoot. ... show more

    • A great flood light in a small & stylish package
I've worked in television for decades and I'm constantly amazed at how the light kits we used to need a truck to haul around now fit on the top of a DSLR. This little fella is packed with strong, powerful light and functions that might take a while to get used to but are worth the effort to learn because you'll be able to use this for just about everything. The only thing that lets it down is the magnet. The internal magnet is supposed to be strong enough to hold this light in position but it's not strong enough to carry its own weight. In the long run, that's a minor issue but it still gets dinged for a star because of it. If you promote a function, you better make sure your product delivers on it. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver on that one. In addition to being an extremely useful and powerful production light, it just looks kinda cool. Attention to a device's appearance is a trend in consumer and pro equipment that I encourage every chance I get. I would never want there to be more attention paid to an item's look over its functionality but if you have a great piece of equipment, why not make it look cool, too? One of the reasons steampunk is so popular is because it merges form & function in ways that have evolved from the Edwardian era, a time when brass fittings and flourishes were common on everything.     • Simple RGB light that does the job!
Nice little light! It doesn’t have a high quality feel to it, but it works like it should. The turn knobs for the light settings actually work pretty well. They are quicker and easier to use than the push buttons on my other light. The light itself performs as expected. The only point deduction is for the cheap plastic feel of the housing and knobs.     • Good area flood with features.
The interface seems a bit odd to me, but once you get used to it, it works well enough. The upper dial which controls intensity feels like its encoded backwards. This little light is bright and powerful and yet can be adjusted to meet your needs. The included magnets are strong enough to hold it to a metal surface. All in all, a nice vlogger's tool. Just be careful with some of the programmed modes, there are two in particular that might run afoul of local ordinances on emergency lighting. ... show more

Instead of me putting a lot of words here trying to explain what this light does, I'll just post pictures showing what it does. I took six pictures of the same thing with my cell phone camera. One was with the camera and no flash. One was with the camera with flash, and four were using the RGB Video Light in various settings. I'm still learning how to use this lights settings, but so far I am happy with the results and am eager for the creative opportunities it may provide. The light include a built in magnet for mounting to metal surfaces. I found that of limited value due to the magnet being weak. When I stuck the light to my refrigerator, it slid down under its own weight. ... show more
