I put this thing through it's paces and it did great. I went a little above and beyond gardening and took it out into the woods to clear a lot of brush and downed trees. It did great, cut through everything pretty easily. After fairly heavy usage, the blade started to bend on me. Still works fine, just probably won't last too much longer. I don't like buying disposable tools, but if you need something for lighter work, this will last. I bought this for my husband and he loves it. He said it’s better than a chainsaw. He cut some tree branches yesterday and said it worked great and fast. We will also use it for transplanting some of our potted plants. It will be good for cutting around the pot and pull the plant out of the old pot.

This thing is unbelievable for the price. When I say it is sharp, I mean it is REALLY sharp. I have no problem cutting thru 7-8 inch frozen hardwood trees with this thing. When I first used it I couldn’t believe how easily it cut through wood. I pushed this saw to the limit recently. It cut down around 40 decent sized frozen trees. I did break off two of the teeth on it, but the only reason I even noticed was because I saw something shining in the light on the ground. It didn’t slow this saw down a bit though, still cuts through wood like butter. For the price, this thing is unbelievable. I will be buying a few more just to have as extras! ... show more

This saw is amazing for the price! I keep it in a survival\bushcraft kit and it's perfect. I finally got to put it to the test while camping in GA. I found a dead pine tree approximately 6 inches round. I processed the entire tree for firewood in no time. You can use it one handed or two handed. I preferred two handed once I got it started. It just cut faster that way. As a side note, the spline on the blade (while closed) makes a great striker for a Ferro rod. Don't hesitate one bit and just get it. I like that it is very sharp and it does a good job. You have to be very careful of the blade. It is lethal looking. It is hard to fold it. Wear gloves and protect your face. We used it for sawing a very large tree limb in our backyard. It had fallen to the ground.

Perfect for small jobs around my house. I use it on small branches around my property when I don’t want to use my chainsaw. I live in Florida, every 2 months I have to trim everything so it doesn’t get out of control. It will come very handy after a tropical storm. It’s sharp but it dose band easy.

I gave this saw a workout on small trees from 4" - 8" diameter. It works very well on pine and sweet gum, and pretty well on oak and holly. I broke the tip of the blade on a holly tree because I was cutting too fast, but the blade was still long enough to keep using it. I broke it again on another holly tree that was probably too large for the saw. I still have about 6 inches left of the blade and use it on small branches now. Before you think I am complaining, I like this saw and will probably buy another one. The longer blade gives me more options for cutting larger trees/branches, but is less rigid than the smaller bladed saws. Overall a 4/5 rating. I recommend it. ... show more
